    1) at least 3 divisions separates them
    2) i dont think this will be a competitive fight
    3) this is too risky for pac, health-wise and career wise. if hes beaten badly, hed be no longer the same pac in his next fights.

imo, quality and competive fights were no longer the determinants in matching up fighters. its profitability and entertainment. the way i look at it, its bad for boxing. (though, admittedly, im interested to see pac-de la hoya.)

Name vs. Name = always good for any sport.
The casual fan don't know **** about weight classes bro...
(We might see the possible mismatch here, But they don't)

its very entertaining to see two great guys fighting in the ring.
its good for the casual fans, yeah. but for the sport itself?

Its like a sideshow, a one off. It will get the general publics attention for a few minutes (since everyone seems to have A.D.D. now anyway) but it wont mean **** to the real boxing fans. I cant see it having any lasting impact on boxing in general and may even hurt it when people tune in and see the size difference.

Anything that gets people interested is good for boxing now. sadly. but this is not the ideal way to get people interested.

I wish Oscar would just go away now. The Forbes fight was terrible.

    Oscar is pushing 36 bro..
No doubt I think Oscar should win, but **** sometimes age catches up with you.
Freddie Roach trained ODLH for the Mayweather fight, maybe he know's something?
(He does seem like the guy pushing for this fight)

age has little to do with this bro. remember that pac could only be 126-130 at his best and oscar has been campaigning at 147-154 for more than a decade. its the HUGE size difference bro.

This is a mismatch. I don't even want to think about it. It's kinda scary. Those pushing for this fight should have their head examined.

i agree on all your points pel:good ..except that i'm not interested to see it. It only hurts boxing to have insignificant matches like these

    NO!

All it does is serve to muddy the waters even more. People will be saying Pac beats everyone from 135-154 when that is not even the truth. People think DLH is one of the best 154lbers when he isn't! He's living in the past!

It will help boxing to erase the memory of the DLH-PBF Boring fest. Pac excitement will give boxing a new life in the mainstream.
