When people go through Manny's resume he gets a lot of stick for cherry picking opponents.

When ask for examples Mosley and Margarito are the 2 fighters commonly named.
This is the same Mosley that lost to Floyd which is one of his better wins. (Yes floyd gets credit for taking on Mosley coming off a win) It was the same Mosley in both Fights.

Margarito - Again Manny is thought to have cherrypicked Margo, yet Cotto fights him after the beating Manny gave him, and again, its thought of as one of Cottos best wins. A win that apparently rejuvanated cotto, putting him back into p4p contention and making him "un Shot" again.

Is Manny, now he's at the top of the sport, judged stricter than the rest of boxing, or is it mainly Floyd fans, who feel the need to bash him at any moment, to cover up the fact that there fighter has no urge to fight him?

By the way people cherry pick Floyd's career to death I'd say they're pretty much even in that regard.

Its simply the haters that nitpick bull****....

on the flipside, same ass **** happens to Floyd Mayweather too...

In fact, nearly all fighters get their share of scrutiny... the higher profiled-fighter, the higher scrutiny. It comes with the territory bro

even PROSPECTS get nitpicked, and subjugated to rigorous opinions whether they're a hype job or not.

So, if you're truly wondering why Pac gets scrutinized, there's the real answer. If you're looking for some biased justification, you got real bad problems

I despise Mayweather as a person and take much pleasure in railing against him, but as far as his resume is concerned...does it compare to ATG's like SRR SRL, Duran...no, but in the context of this era, it would be hard to find one better, excluding a few fighters like BHop or Pacquiao.

The funny part is the same guys who pick apart the resume of guys like Mayweather and Pacquiao prop up guys like Gamboa and Sergio, even though they haven't accomplished nowhere near as much in their careers. This is the nature of idolatry. Reason and logic has no place.

He is held in higher esteem than anyone else b/c of his resume and what he done in so many weight classes. He has been beat multiple times, and clearly but nobody in the sport right now has done more overall.

Bad example with Margarito. Cotto fans overrate Cotto to no end. If you're a new fan visiting the forums casually before Cotto fights you'd think he's the GOAT. His fans take it over the top.

Marg was not a good win for either guy. Was he even ranked in the top 10?

Floyd is held to a much higher standard than Manny.

Floyd fights the higher ranked opponents yet still gets very little credit.

Manny is much more liked than Floyd too.

Floyd is held to higher standards than Manny by far.

i disagree based on floyd being the top P4P boxer, despite only fighting twice in the last 3 years against Ortiz that ended via sucker punch and got beat by lope in his following fight, and Cotto, who he went to war with.

The cotto that was only considered "unshot" because he beat Mayorga:rofl and Margarito. The same Margarito that was Mannys Cherry Pick, who was coming on strong against cotto.

Yet he is still ranked so highly.

I swear you have no brains

Cotto fought Margo because they had a personal beef, not because Margarito was supposed to be a ranked threat, Margo kicked his ass in a questionable manner so Cotto wanted revenge, in addition to that, it was a great fight that naturally called for a rematch

Mosely before he fought Floyd, layoff or not, looked good and people were saying 'Shane just destroyed Mararito, Floyd will be too scared to fight him, he'll knock him out' etc etc, there were even threads on here with people saying 'Will Floyd have the balls to face Mosely?' which I will find and bump, one idiot here said he'd leave forever if Floyd faced him as he thought he was too chicken-****

Mosely before Pac fought him looked old, and people groaned when the fight was made because it wasn't going to be in the slightest bit competative :-(

    ****ing revisionists
