Your on other threads stating that a catchweight between floyd and martinez at 150 is fair. Even though Floyd is current 154 champion.

Yet your in here demeaning pacs accomplishments.

    Yes your biased

    :hi:

I am fine with catchweights personally.

My issue is Floyd is on record saying he wants to fight fighters at there best at there healthiest weights.

Sergio's healthiest weight is not 150.

    Sergio is the Middleweight champ.

You need to beat him at 154+ if you want credit for beating him.

Wonder if your a Pacquiao fan

You slate other peoples "logic" yet you defend Pacquiao by criticising Cotto and Marquez for doing "the same thing". Gotta love a hypocrite

i slate people who defend cotto and marquez but slate pac.

I am fine with the catchweight cotto had with margo. I am fine with hopkins delahoya catchweight. Berto Ortiz Catchweight.

I wasn't meant to criticize, i'm showing you that everyone is putting in catchweights.

But for some reason pac gets hate and others don't.

Catchweights are a good thing in an era where superfights and p4p rankings are more important than belts and unifying divisions.

I wish Ward Dawson was a catchweight. It would have been a fairer fight.

Manny only puts them in, if he's going up in weight. So asking to agree on a weight in the middle.
Same if he's fighting someone lower, he will put a catchweight in.

Its how boxing is now. And it creates better fights.

Your right, most do have a catchweight fight at some point.

Pac gets the most hate because of the amount he's had in recent years. People were pissed off the first Cotto fight was a catchweight and the fact they tried to make the second fight at a catchweight was just taking the **** to most people, especially as Cotto has said in public he doesn't want to fight at lower than 154.

Don't forget that Mosley had peaked his training for the cancelled Berto fight that there was also a lot of concern on Mosley being overtrained.

Pac has had 2 self initiated catchweights. That's the same number as JMM. For the Cotto rematch, Pac didn't even wanna go above 147, as he clearly stated after Marg. 147 is not a catchweight. But you're also wrong about Cotto insisting on 154, he was the one that suggested 150 first, earlier this year, see link below. Then when Team Pac offered him that, he turned tail. This is from the scene, plug the domain back in:

Your talking about negotitations for the potential May fight.

I'm talking about the ones for the December fight. Cotto picked Trout because he didn't want to go lower than 154

That's what he said. Fighters say a lot of things when trying to avoid a fight. 150 was fine for him last year against Marg (with the 160lb rehydration limit!), and apparently was fine earlier this year, when he taunted Pac for not wanting to go beyond 147 again

    You idiot

Hatton had never looked that bad. Sure he always ballooned up and down in weight before but it takes it toll on you. He looked gaunt at the weigh in against pacquiao. Show me where he looked that bad before ?

Everybody knows Morales was drained in the rematches. To say otherwise shows how delusional you are. After the 1st fight, Morales moved up to 135 because he couldn't make 130, he had outgrown it. Pacquiao excerised the rematch clause and forced Morales back down to 130. Go watch the weigh in the rematch and you will see Morales almost faints, he looked like ****, he was the definition of a drained fighter. The weight drain was the reason Morales legs were so weak in both the rematches. Morales only took the third fight for redemption and a good payday, he was very drained in the 3rd fight.

The fact you believe Margarito could have still made 147 shows how clueless you are. The whole reason Margarito left 147 was because he couldn't make 147. The fight before he fought Pacquiao he fought at 154 and he weighed in at 154. Margarito is big for 154, he's bigger than the likes of Martinez, Canelo. Of course Margarito is going to struggle to make 150. The fact he was such much bigger, rehydrated so much shows he was struggling to make weight.

You wanted a quote that Margarito was drained here is one from Alex Ariza, from an interview with the Manila standard. Ariza says " "When I saw Margarito today when he did an interview, he look emaciated. He looked gaunt. It looked like he came from a run at 8 o’clock at night. This makes no sense to me." Ariza was having his looks on Margarito trying to figure out his condition, "Margarito clearly is killing himself to make the weight, so now I’m even more confident that Manny is not going to have much of a problem,” said Ariza.

Cotto probably can't make 150 now, that's probably why he was considering moving up to 160.

Really, he's had a growth spurt since january? Did he temporarily grow smaller between Mayorga and Marg, hence the 150lb request?

He just wants a 4th belt, it's not like he was gonna fight at 160 proper. When there was talk of him facing paper champ NJikam, it was at 156!
