Is Pac vs Cotto gonna get the push that May vs JMM is?

    They are pushing the PBF/JMM fight to the extreme.... is Pac vs Cotto gonna get the same push?

    Im sorry, but hyping fights that will be potential duds (oscar-pbf) is more harmfel to boxing then not hyping it....

    They should be putting efforts into Cotto vs Pac.... two p4p fighters that are excitement highlight reels, and is almost garunteed a great night of boxing to all who tune in... including a bunch of casual fans if the media can get the attention.

    And im not saying that Mayweather vs JMM wont be... i actually think it is going to be a good scrap, and im glad boxing is getting this kind of exposure, but like i said, you hype the wrong fight to where the mainstream tunes in... and comes away let down, it hurts boxing more then helps. but im just not understanding the logic here.... Mayweather vs JMM better live up to the hype. And if Cotto vs Pac doesnt recieve more then half the push this fight is getting its a damn shame.

    Because pac-cotto doesnt need to call people to watch them, people are willingly want to watch them.

    yes but to not push the biggest fight of the year, and the potentially most exciting (due to whats on the line and who the fighters are) . because it can 'sell itself' is a mistake

    It does not need the hype. Mayweather always needs lots of hype, he is not a ticket seller. Marquez will sell the tickets, it's a shame that the fight has already been decided. I will not bother to watch such a crime.

    Pac vs Cotto doesn't need any push at all.

    The fighting styles of both fighter is enough to make people wanna see the fight and the result.

    Yeah, I know Cotto character is like a cinder block, but a 24/7 or something of that sort would have been a great lead into the fight. More of a teaser.

    Hell, it's gonna be even bigger, because UglyBoy vs Dinamita gonna open up the fan's appetite for some more!!!

    thats just it though, to not push it because it doesnt 'need' it IMO is a BIG mistake...

    You have this awsome fight... and you can put it to great heights by giving it the push that the lesser (imo) FMJ-JMM fight is getting but dont because it doesnt 'need' it.

    Have to have better sight then that....

    with the push its getting, if mayweather puts out another stinker its going to look really, really bad... i hope its an exciting fight and theres a knockout.

    i hope it is because thats the type of fight you want the casuals to be drawn to as a sniff into boxing.

    mayweather vs JMM is a bit like mayweather vs DLH in that we the purists are happy but the perverse blood thristy casuals are promised blood and guts and get a tee party.

    the problem with pacquiao vs cotto is that niether is american or speaks good english and they both have the personality of a dead corpse, which takes away some of the effect of the countdowns, interviews and of course that 24 mutherf*ckin 7

    Mayweather wants to make sure he get better sales than when jmm fought pac otherwise he have lose ground in negoations with pac in future.
