Most pundits would agree that Mayweather is likely to return to the ring this year. Most would also agree that his natural challenger will be Pac. PBF is now a bigger box office draw than Hatton in that the buzz created by coming out of retirement to reclaim the p4p title will be huge. Come on Mayweather..now is the time to make the announcement
It sort of does feel like "fate." Now that Hatton-Pacquiao is off Pac should make the fight with PBF for the summer. If it does happen whoo its gonna be a big event.
and then marquez beats campbell then moves up to 140 and beats hatton and then him and pac can fight for the final time
Staying on topic---I hope this fight gets made. Imagine the negotiation circus this one will be. I can't wait for Pac to say "50/50 is fair" And PBF to say--"You must be joking. I'm undefeated. You get 60/40"
if Pac cant get an agreement with Hatton ,how in the hell will agree with Mayweather who will probably want 70% of the money.
Negotiations for Mayweather vs. Pacquiao should be very interesting.... Pacquiao would be a fool to want more than 50/50 with Floyd. This is the fight I want to see. Mayweather vs. Hatton II really doesn't interest me. Floyd can't improve on what he did the first time, and even if he does it's not going to improve his legacy significantly. He has already shown us that he can handle Hatton.
Now this is a fight where Pac would probably be comfortable taking purse parity. Had he conceded to Hatton's demand of an equal share of the pie, he would have less bargaining muscle against Floyd at the negotiating table.
It can only be a 50/50 fight(Floyd needs the money). Pacs the main man but PBF coming out of retirement also adds to the hype.
