It seems like to me like Pac may be wasting time. He has never looked as good as the 3rd fight with Morrales, and his style is only good for a couple more years. It seems at this point that he should be fighting Guzman, Marquez, Valero, Soto etc. Those fights would do more for his legacy than Barrera at this point.

I just get the feeling that in a couple of years when he slows down we are going to look back over the end of his career with Arum and think that it was a waste to some degree.

I dont have a huge problem with him facing Barrera, but after that he should stay more busy and go straight for more big fights.

After defeating Barrera, he should face the Guzman-Soto winner or Marquez-Barrios winner.

Barrera is not a waste by any stretch of the imagination. He was still in most people's list of top fighters pound for pound before the Marquez bout. Even now, he's ahead of Soto, Valero, etc.

He should beat Barrera again, but if he doesn't rematch Marquez or fight the winner of Guzman/Soto, then I would say he isn't being too smart with his prime years.

    I think yes.

Instead of him fighting Larios and Solis, he should have already fought JMM and Guzman.

i think he's phasing just fine...this gives opportunity for the others to upgrade their market value, and then when its ripe for the picking, money will come pouring.

No Im not, and Im not really criticizing him. I think he would fight all these guys on the same night. Im more critical of the way he is being managed. He is not a safety first fighter and his type of style has a historically short duration.

Thats a good point, they better get busy though. I thought some of these fights would have already come off by now.

I'm not too thrilled about him fighting Barrera again but at least MAB gets a chance to avenge that loss. He'll still lose though.

    I want to see Pac/JMM 2.

Hell no he isn't. If he beats Barrera (which I think he will and I am a huge Barrera fan), he will fight the winner of Barrios/JMM, Valero, Soto, or Guzman next. Mark my words. Come on Pac's opposition has been one of the best in boxing over the last 5 years.

Actually it is Roach who always wanted a lesser opposition for Pac.

Can't blame him, he is just looking after his ward.
