I think the Margarito fight may have taken a little something out of him. He got hit an awful lot in that fight (too much for my liking), despite hitting Margarito twice and much and dominating most of the action. And that wasn't exactly a little man hitting him either. IIRC, didn't he suffer some cracked ribs? Cause I distinctly remember his face being pretty bruised up.

It's not just movement per se. It's the type of movement. It's stepping to his right, making him fall short and off-setting his rhythm.

Cotto was fighting an exellent fight in the first couple of rounds, sticking a jab in Pacquiao's face and turning him. But he wasn't patient enough and got too greedy. He started trying to walk Pacquiao down and everyone who's done that got destroyed.

Looking bad vs Mosley? He dominated the fight, right? Had an off night w/ JMM but he won anyway.

He's definitely past it. It's obvious just by watching his feet. He doesn't have the same bounce anymore. But he lasted a long longer near-peak than most fighters with such long, grueling careers, and he certainly has made an historic imprint.

I always thought Mayweather would have too much for him, but now I don't even care to watch that fight. It won't be competitive.

Agree with most of this...has'nt looked the buzzsaw he used to be since Hatton..also grew a curious habit of sometimes takinng a breather in the middle of the ring..just standing there covering his face..Marquez teed off on him a few times and he had to stop that.

I gues it's inevitabble with the athletic types like Manny..Remember Roy Jones?Mike Tyson anyone?Speed is the first thing to go..just ask Muhammad Ali.

I hope we are all wrong tho'..be a sad day when the Pacman hangs them up.He kept us enetertained for nearly ten years now.

Just look at Barrera I, Marquez I, Morales I. Back in the day his will to take the initiative past the danger of getting countered was unbelievable. In Morales 1, he kept eating counter after counter yet still retorted, embodied with Roach's instructions to not let Morales back him up

Are people really that naive? This fight was just like the first two, did Pac slip out his prime back from the first fight? Before the third fight everyone was convinced Marquez had slipped out his prime. Manny could come back and look like a complete monster in his next fight. I'm not a loyal fan of either man, but Manny could fight Money next and beat him, and then go and fight Marquez for the fourth time and still struggle.

I thought 2009 Manny was his top prime. a 33 year old Pacquiao is quite old due to his fighting style.

I too don't think he cares. For the past 2 yearsish he hasn't seem thrilled after beating someone. Instead of being like yes! i won! during interviews, he was more like, meh, i won, big deal.

Yea Cotto lacked discipline and the first knockdown should have been a warning to him but he kept at it and when the 2nd knockdown came and it really buzzed him badly and from there it was one way traffic.

I think his main problem at the moment is his marital problem. Fix that first. The 2nd is his political life, he should choose only one, politics or boxing. politics is a full time job. Then his showbiz and singing engagements. If he could clear this up, he can be in top form again.
