Is Pacquaio a cheater? A cherrypicker? Or just plain great?

I'm a Mayweather fan and I seriously think Manny is not overrated at all. He just fight who is in front of him. Okay the opposition is sometimes a little bit questionable (according to many people) but then again who else (besides Money) can they put in front of him? If Roach decide to cherrypick then that's fine with me but even if he didn't, I think there aren't many fighters (beside Money) who can pose a threat to Pac. Most of the fighters he fought were considered good (before they fight) and people gave them a good chance to beat him... but at the end they don't, and I hate it when people start telling that they were overrated anyway (because Manny made it look easy) and that Manny is overrated because he fought those "overrated" fighters...

My point is... People need to accept that some of the fighters he fought are good but Manny is just better. Just like how Floyd made easy work of shane. Shane is good but Floyd is better...

 

Calling him a drug cheat is just plain ignorant. But I can live with that.

Calling him a cherry picker is just ridiculous, and anyone who suggests it really should find a new sport to follow.

He picks his fights... Just like any top fighter. Both Pacquiao and Mayweather can be considered guilty of this. You can call him a cheater, but until he gets caught, gets verified positive on that PED test... He's a legitimate fighter who has fought his way up from starting his career at Junior Flyweight to be where he is now. That is no mean feat in and of itself. On top of that, he has taken on some of the best fighters of the past couple of years and come out on top, with a KO more often than not. People call him a brawler but I think that is an inaccurate analysis of his style. His fists and feet are too fast, and he bases his fighting around combinations, not single shots. He's a boxer-puncher, and an obvious one at that. He's beaten boxers of tons of different weights, sizes, and styles, and even if he WAS on PED's(which there is still no proof of) it's still an impressive accomplishment.

At the end of the day everyone knows greatness when they see it. PAC has proven his greatness by his accomplishments in the ring. Floyd is great as well by what he shows the boxing world in his skill/craft and his recent push for harder challenges.

For those who question Floyd or Manny's greatness it's a clear sign you are either a hater and a fanatic of the other fighter.

he cheated Marquez on the scale, but he is definitely great, no doubt.

 

The 150 plus boxing writers that comprise The Ring Magazine voting panel and Boxing Writers Association of America all believe Pac is just that good.

sort of! he did choose to fight cotto after he saw how broken down he was after the Clottey fight and he then chose to fight clottey on the back of a defeat to cotto so yeah, he is sort of but most of the top fighters are!

He is great, no doubt about it. If he IS getting help from some sort of drugs, then I will change this statement but right now, he is great!

btw, that cotto from the pac fight could have beaten most WW's that night.
