Is Pacquaio just too small for De La Hoya?

From recent pics at promotional events the difference in size is massive.

Pacquaio is a great fighter but hasn't it often been said that a good big fighter always beats a good small one?

Yeah that's real...but Manny is different Delahoya didn't hit hard enough to knock out Steve Forbes...proven that Pac has been in wars and just has natural toughnes Delahoya might have a harder time then people think...Manny is faster and we still don't know if his power will carry up or not. They'll both be in shape it'll be good.

if Pac is truly the great fighter that some people (including me) think he is, then the size difference will not be the be all and end all of this fight. Throughout history there are tons and tons of these matchups, where the much smaller man took on a much bigger man and gave a respectable account of himself. Even a shot Henry Armstrong went the distance against a prime Sugar RAy Robinson

When Valuev lost to chagaev he weighed 91 lbs more and was 13 inches taller. Roy Jones Jr Battered Ruiz. De la Hoya himself has gone on to win at multiple weight divisions, as has Mayweather.

That said I don't think any of the above are comparable as manny has moved up far too quickly. I think we can look for it to be competitive for the first couple of rounds or until Oscar first lands cleanly... Then I'm afraid it's all down hill fo Manny!!!

Ray said he could not go for the ko against a man he loved. Armstrong needed the money and Sugar gave him the fight. The size difference between these two guys is not legendary. Pac is coming in diesel, and is training very hard and putting the weight on correctly this time out. He did not do this for the first Morales fight. He did put the weight on correctly for the Diaz fight.
