I agree that the fight is nothing more than a glorified farce being billed as a super fight, but we need to start being positive about our sport. This has been an incredible year which has brought the fans some of the most memorable and significant fights in recent memory. More unification fights are happening, and the year isn't even over yet. Boxing is on the up, and this one mickey mouse fight doesn't undo everything else the year has brought us. Still, I say this is a mickey mouse fight, but I won't be able to take my eyes off it.
The sport needs a "sacrificial lamb" to open up opportunities and make it prosper. In this case, it is Manny. This lamb might even turn out to be a GOAT. And who knows what this fight will bring to the table? This might encourage more fighters, not just small ones to take on greater challenges, excel in the sport and give us fans more entertainment. If ever Pac does the impossible by defeating Oscar, lets not look at it as a fight wherein a big man was beaten by a small man, but rather a small man prevailing, BIG-time.
The only advantage Pac has in this fight is speed, not only his speed but the fight speed he is accustomed to. He is used to fighting SFW and lightweight, hence opponents with faster handspeed and movement. Now that he is fighting a bigger guy with known stamina issues, should bode well for Pac. In that sense, I am hoping that Pac would not get hit flush the same way he did against Marquez or Morales for the simple fact that, not only should Pac be able to see and brace himself from Oscars shots, but he should also find it easier to find openings and land his own reducing Oscars opportunities to throw.
Hell yes. Like I said in an earlier thread people thinking that Pac will have a chance will change their tune when they see how much Oscar dwarfs Pac at the weigh-in. This fight is a mismatch, Pac has no business in the ring with Oscar.
The difference is most of the time these guys were fighters that could employ great defense. Pac doesn't fight like that he goes to war and it won't work against much bigger men who can take his shots with ease and fire back even harder.
Yes! Both can bang But DLH knows how to be punched, boxed and hit by a 160lbs boxer while PAC only felt the punch of a 135lbs boxer once! The rest of PAc's experience is being hit by 130lbs or lower... 25lbs difference baby 25lbs baby!!!!:hey So, can Pac HURT DLH? As a PAC fan. I don't THINK SO but I HOPE SO! So, can DLH hurt PAC Oh! THAT's for sure!
yeah and DLH losing by SD will set up the rematch, lol I don't take DLH seriously at all .. in fact im on a personal DLH boycott, lol
it does, on a boxing standpoint massive difference in size, reach, height... all advantages belong to oscar
and its not even just the size... even if they were CLOSE to the same size, even a faded oscar like this has better skills then pac... i Like pac and will be rooting for him but lets be real, mayweather is bigger then pac and hoya gave mayweather a hell of a fight.... This isnt going to be close... and its just a bs fight all around. That being said GO PAC and i cant help but think the closer the fight gets WHAT IF lol..... what if pac can take hoyas punches and just keep coming forward, keep throwing those punches, and win those rounds... what if...
