I mean look at all the excuses in here.

    Delahoya was weight drained
Hatton punch resistance is gone-he was never the same after mayweather
Cotto was never the same since margarito kick his ass
Clottey was paid to lose when he was the underdog coming in the fight
Margarito is nothing without his plaster
    etc etc etc

definitely. so many people who think he has bad defense, that he's not a great body puncher, that he lacks technical skills, that he can't fight going backwards...

exactly and this has been pac haters main excuses. They're trying to make it sounds like he's the only one who fought boxer past their prime.:huh

Last i check delahoya fought an old camacho-whitaker and chavez. It's hot his fault that those guys were past prime when he was coming up just like it's not pac's fault that some of the boxers he fought was past prime when he fought them.

It balances out; a good half of the site bash him every chance they get on multiple fields, the other half make excuses for him at every turn regardless of the situation and overrate his H2H ability horribly.

I'd say some of those are valid excuses though. I'm a Pac fan but to suggest DLH was prime or anywhere near it is nonsense, Roach himself admitted after the fight that he'd told Pac that Oscar "couldn't pull the trigger anymore" and that's why they'd taken the fight. If Pacs own trainer says that then you have to question how 'big' a win that really was.

Hatton....his punch resistance was never great anyway so I'd call that a valid win over a good opponent, the clash of styles worked in Pac's favour there.

Cotto really wasn't the same after he lost to Margarito but still a good win.

Clottey, no excuses for Clottey there he just lost to a better fighter.

Same with Margarito, but Mosley beat him more impressively for me.

Not taking anything away from Pac though, considering the weight he started at and what he's been doing the last few years then yeah he's a true phenomenon. The Mayweather fight will be the true acid test if it ever happens, hope it does.

    True, true and true.

Still Pac is one of the most beloved boxers out there.

No one is saying delahoya was in his prime when he fought pac. He was old but still before the fight many people thought this was a mismatch. As it was called a dream fight.

It's just funny to see all the comments about delahoya being weight drained when you hear people talking about this fight when before this fight happen everybody thought delahoya would KTFO pacquiao. Now all we hear is he was weight drained.
