    Seems that way,

Its amazing. I always knew Manny was great for boxing but I didn't know he was this good.

Ironically when Manny broke off negotiations and took on the next toughest welterweight Floyd basically has no other choice.

He can't fight Matthew Hatton now. The Mayweather camp said that was a rumour but up until the end of December Hatton's lawyer said he was contacted 3 times and he was at the top of the list.

He can't fight Malignaggi, Campbell. Golden Boy threw those names out there it seems to get a reaction and it was met with disgust by the fans and media.

Cintron is the closest thing he's gotten to a legit threat but people are still screaming for the Mosley/Berto winner.

So here's the irony. IF Mosley beats Berto in January he HAS to face him, or he'll get crucified by the media and fans. With the fighters Manny is fighting, there is no other option. Mosley a guy Floyd wished the "best of luck" in his future career, a guy he refused to fight, a guy he's called overrated and a cheater who has "5 losses". Now he may be forced to fight him.

Maybe its a combination of Pacquiao and Floyd's own bad karma.

Stop with the incessant ***** riding of your hero. Both fighters are to be blamed for their fight not being made. Nobody is forcing anyone to step up their comp.

It seems like it, like a "anything you can do i can do better"
A Cintron fight would be equal to what Pacquiao is facing and a Paul Williams fight will surpass Pacquiaos next opponent

    It's called raising the bar.

Pac has raised the bar several times. Barrera and Morales were thought to be at the highest level until Pac beat them both.

Floyd just want to be at the top at present time. Pac wants to be at the top of all time.

Interesting theory, but the minds boxing aren't nearly that deep.

pac's actually not raising the bar, he had no other choice other than clottey, because every non top rank fighter is now demanding blood tests to fight him, pac's suspect ways have alienated himself to only fighting fellow top rank opposition. It's very interesting how pac chose another top rank fighter, whom he knew would not request blood testing instead of looking elsewhere, i think there is an undeniable amount of information building against pac's self proclaimed innocence, and i think we will see more in the future, i think even pac fans are having trouble sleeping at night because they know they there boy is every bit the politician he aspires to be, shaking hands kissing babys giving off a righteous external image but behind closed doors he is as scandalous and shady as most politicians are

Floyd definately seems to have come off worse. No matter who he chooses as an opponent, unless it's Mosley or Williams he will recieve **** loadsa criticism from the public.

Personally I think he'll be keeping a close eye on the Mosley/Berto fight. If Berto wins, then he will be the chosen opponent. However if Mosley wins, lol he'll likely turn away and try to find someone else.

Or ow about a much more simple explanation, arum and gbp just spat at each other and probably wont make any fights together soon, therefore top rank fighting top rank fighters are the only option, and gbp fighters fighting gbp or non top rank fighters being the only option for gbp?

    Blood conspiracy theories.
