Well all that is well and good, but at the time the negotiations broke off, Clottey is the next best welterweight out there period.

    Who else is there?

Berto and Mosley are tied up. Cotto was just beaten.

    Collazo? Cintron?

Clottey is better than both of them.

Also what is this mounting information against Pacquiao? I think you've been listening to ESPN and Teddy Atlas too much. What is this "undeniable information" thats building up? Besides conjecture and hearsay.

Oh, and don't be fooled that fighters are going to be asking Pacquiao for a blood test. Pacquiao is the hottest name in the sport. Marquez was dumb enough to ask for blood tests (probably at the urging of GBP), but you have to be naive that other promoters/fighters are going to turn down career high paydays in the millions for a blood test that Mayweather initiated.

Do you really think GBP will have the power to demand blood testing if Shane Mosley wants to fight Pacquiao? No. Mosley is part owner and will tell GBP to get out of the way so he can fight Pacquiao.

It was a smart move by Arum and Team Pacquiao.

a)It shows Pacquiao just wants to fight. They might pretty well take that March 13 HBO date and put on a big fight in a new venue.

b)Its shifted the focus from blood testing, to who Mayweathers next opponent is

c)The focus has shifted to Mayweathers lack of competition and questions about his desire to fight the best

In the end Mayweather is FORCED to fight a great fighter, OR he will be looked at as the guy who ducked Pacquiao to fight subpar opposition
