no doubt but hear the problem. Gaining mass is one thing, but maintaing the same work rate and performance is another. second issue not only has pac been able to maintain his same work rate and performance he's been able to add a significant amount of power also, which is nearly impossible not impossible but really ****ing hard.

The fact that Pac made these in such a short period of time is more than enough to raise a few brows..
Merchant is the first person to point out that pac may be on something not Floyd Sr

At that weight, the work rate questioning is irrelevant buddy. As far as power goes...Hoya, Hatton & Cotto all said that it was the speed and the fact that they couldn't see all the punches coming that was tough for them. The punches you can't see are the ones that hurt the most. Pacquiao hasn't shown any one punch KO power since moving up.

We can argue that it's weird he kept the same speed but on the other hand if we look back into the previous years, his fight day weights are almost identical to what they are now.... That would simply mean that he was draining quite a lot and now his performances simply show a healthy strong, not drained fighter coming into the ring. Still his body frame is more suited for 140 than 147...

Hold on. Before we go any further, is it right for me to assume that you are expecting a significant performace and workrate difference in the 4lbs that he has been fluctuating at since '06?

Btw that power that you seem to be referring to is not punching power. Its his KO power that has improved which comes from catching people from weird angles that they dont see where the punch is coming from. That comes from increase in skill. Notice how he turns people more now.

Does anyone remember the David Diaz post fight interview where he kept saying **** and he was saying it wasn't the power it was the speed in which he doesn't see where the punches were coming from?

YAGBLOSCO, much props on the thoughtful post, but I don't think people are really saying it due to size. Cheating using PEDs comes in many (no pun intended) flavors. You have blood doping to recovery. This is where I personally think Manny is cheating. He is using cocktails of human hormones that modify his recovery and wind. This is stuff thatis found in the blood. Exactly what he is shying away from.

Pac started fighting at 107 and now is 147 no fighter or athlete has ever been that proficient in weight gain power, regardless if he was a teenager at 107.

Nice job. Of course the suspicions are baseless. However, that does not change the fact Pac could take illegal substances, it is not of the question at all. The best way to eliminate many doubts would be to take the olympic test system. However, I understand Pac's reasons to not want this. Looks like the fight is off.

True enough pac has not shown one punch KO power this is true. I have not seen anyone maintain the same work rate and power moving up in wight. To put pac gain in perspective, it would be like Paul williams moving up to heavy weight out working a fighter like Lamon Brewster, pushing him around in the ring and then Knocking him out .. You can't tell me that would not raise a few eyebrows. Not only did he move the heavy weight he come in weighing a tight ripped 225.. Your going to tell me no one is going to ask questions ?!? even if he did this in a period of 4 years people would ask questions. Why because its never been done before.

You do have to consider that when he started fighting he was so poor that he wasn't even eating properly. How many fighters do you know of that went through the same circumstances that Pac did?

One more thing, remember that after the Diaz fight, Pac said he was having a hard time making 130 anymore and wouldn't go back to that weight class anymore. How can you not see that Pac was drying up so much when he was fighting the Mexian trio to gain as much advantage as he could in the lower weight classes.

Can you exaggerate even more ???? Holy ****, do you realize what you just said...?

At 16 years old, Roy Jones was fighting at 139lbs in the amateurs ! He settles his career, with his body ripped at 175lbs.

At the same age (16), Manny Pacquiao was a poor malnourished kid fighting at 106lbs... 15 years later, his body frame is truly suited for 140lbs, although he's good enough to compete at 147lbs.

Your example of Paul Williams coming in the ring a ripped 225 lbs to fight as a heavyweight when he was fighting as a welterweight 12 months ago is so ludicrous...so not comparable...there's no words necessary to explain.....

The Mayweather fanclub is truly somethin' else....
