    Really?

Let's look at his last 5.

JMM - JMM did move up. Check

Hatton - Hatton did come up but he also had fought there before and won the WBA title.

    DLH - Floyd moved up.

Baldomir - When did Baldomir move up to 147? Oh that's right. Never. He had fought there at the start of his career and bounce to 154 a few times.

Judah - Had fought at WW 6 times previously, was the ex champ by one fight.

Man, you just ramble on bull**** dont you?

    No doubt.

Pacquiao was still the underdog...if i'm not mistaken.

My problem is, people always changing their mind AFTER the fights.

A very good proportion of people said ODLH, Hatton and Cotto would be very tough (that when they didn't plainly said Pacquiao was going to lose badly).

But after that...oh they were weight drained, bum and shot.

It depends on the Clottey fight as well as the Floyd vs Shane fight. If Pac loses he will drop to 2nd if he gets outclassed he may drop to 3rd. The winner of the other fight could move to number one depending on how competitive the fight is

Your logic is completely flawed. So by that, you are saying Floyd's win over Marquez is a greater accomplishment than Pac's win over Marquez becuase Floyd completely dominated the fight and Pac struggled.

I look forward to you trying to squirm your way out of the hole you dug yourself into.

Pac's win over Marquez was better than Floyds.
Floyd's win over De La Hoya was better than Pac's.

First of all, you seem to have missed the part where I said that Pac was also moving up 12 pounds in weight. Was Floyd moving up 12 pounds in weight when he fought Marquez. You completely ignored half the post.

Anyways, I think Floyd's win over Marquez is a very good win. Because despite having those massive physical advantages, he still dominated the fight and also he was coming off a long layoff. But its obviously not as good as Pac's win over Cotto which is what people are suggesting here. Pac was more dominant than Floyd against an opponent that would have knocked Floyd's opponent out.

    Worser
archaic : worse <I cannot hate thee worser than I do — Shakespeare>

    Archaic

1 : having the characteristics of the language of the past and surviving chiefly in specialized uses <an archaic word>
2 : of, relating to, or characteristic of an earlier or more primitive time : antiquated <archaic legal traditions>

So unless you're from the 15th century or are in some Shakespearian play, "worser" just isn't used anymore. Otherwise you'd start seeing thread titles here that go "Pacquiao, thou hast been exposed thread"

Anyway, back to the topic on hand. If Pac looks terrible against Clottey and Floyd utterly dominates Shane then a case definitely can be made for Floyd overtaking Pac in the P4P ranks. The deciding factor for some people would probably personal preference in fighting styles. Personally I'd still have Pac at #1 until he is beaten, retires or goes on a long spree of fights against weak competition while Floyd keeps fighting to top level opponents.
