and you are a true pac fan...i im not a fan of neither, but you can clearly make a case that if paquiao wins and mayweather wins, may has the edge...we will compare ppv buys, and that will tell you....and dont come with the crap tha paquiao its the only one selling his fight...he chose to do that!!
I rank Mayweather #1. He did not lose the tittle of #1 pound for pound in the ring. The only reason Pacquiao is ranked by so many as #1 is because of Mayweather's retirement. Mayweather is the better boxer.
If you did compare their last five fights, Floyd would win the comparison and I'm sure that's not what you're after. Maybe you want to rethink that.
So what happens if Shane pfp#3 beats Floyd pfp#2? Let's say Shane wins by a KO and Pacman Decisions Clottey, who do you guys think should be PfP#1?
The issue I have is that Floyd is clearly a better fighter than Pacquiao who only "lost the pound for pound mantle" by retiring. It was never taken from him in the ring, and he looked very sharp against Marquez. Now if he comprehensively outboxes Mosley I would be left with two choices: a) Say that, "While Floyd is clearly the better fighter and is coming off a great win against a top fighter, Pacquiao is still top dog because that is the case until he loses." b) Just have Floyd as top dog, which is what I actually believe. Pound for pound is about who is best, and that is Floyd.
If Floyd wins by KO and Pac either loses or wins a close and controversial decision against Clottey then I could see them flipping. Otherwise, no. And I don't think that will happen so no, I don't think Pac is in danger of losing his P4P crown after this set of fights.
This is a fact that gets glossed over because Floyd, even past his best, is still so great. It's a testament to what a fighter he is.
PPV dont make a person P4P, Pac is fighting the harder fights, PERIOD!! He is also fighting true welterweights when he himself is not a true welterweight. Can you say the same from floyd who wouldnt touch cotto or margirto and is only fighting shane cause pac said **** you
