Most definitely, but there were also stories of pacs weight being to high and it showed in camp so they made him come in lighter so that he could maintain his speed. You tought he looked slower in the clottey fight as well?

A tad, yes. Watch the highlights of DLH, Hatton and Cotto bouts, then watch his following bouts. It's not a drastic change or dip in speed...but it is noticeable, even less noticeable because of the speed difference between him and his opponents.

:thumbsup, im interested in how it will all play out, I hope he doesnt end up in a roy jones type of late career, but goes out on top. Arum says pac will keep on fighting till late 2013, when we exclude mosley that is 5 fights, maybe he will be over the hill in his last 2. But who is going to stop him at 147 and below, only floyd is capable, you have guys like berto,bradley,ortiz,alvarez,cotto2,marquez that could end up with a pacfight at 147.

he's 32, turned pro at 15 years old, has gone to war several times, and is fighting well above his natural weight.

He's also a part time fighter who is more focused on his political career than his boxing career.

I think it's safe to say he peaked a while ago and is on a steady decline

    Prime, yes.

    Peak, no.

Peak IMO was from De La Hoya, Hatton, Cotto.

He looked slightly slower against Clottey, but looked better against Margarito.

could that be because of how ugly the fight was? clottey just covered up and gave manny less opportunities to let his hands go.

No, not elite. To me that implies P4P status. First elite opponent was Barrera, '03.

I agree he is not in his prime, but I do think he just recently began a minimal decline.

He's got enough going on in his life that he won't ever fall into this trap.

He is slower in the WW and am not sure if its because he has started to decline. I also feel that his decline, if it has started, will be faster than in the lower weight class because he can feel the heavier punches at WW which means greater damage to his body.
