Is Pacquiao just SO FAST that our mere mortal eyes COULDN'T SEE his effectiveness??

Like many other mere mortals on this site, I came away last night with the erroneous impression that Marquez had scored the harder, more effective punches all night long and therefore deserved the decision.

But what a fool I was!! :patsch

When I watched the fight again last night in super duper slow motion, I began to notice actions by Pacquiao that are otherwise invisible to the naked eye. For example, there was one point in the fight where I was under the impression that Pacquiao had missed awkwardly with a long left hand and then fell face-first into a Marquez counter. But in fact, when watching in super duper slow motion, I realized that Pacquiao had actually followed up that missed left with a lightning fast 35-punch combination, then BLOCKED the counter from Marquez, and then scored another 72-punch combination, all in the span of a few seconds. Unfortunately, because the punches broke the speed of light, it took a while for their effect to catch up with them (but I've heard rumors that Marquez suddenly fell unconscious for 24 hours straight after the fight).

I think this is the biggest problem the "new and improved" Pacquiao is going to be facing - he's just too good for his own good. Our mere mortal eyes simply cannot recognize his interstellar actions. Fortunately, it appears that the judges for last night's fight had also dined on Mount Olympus and were able to recognize what Pacquiao was doing in the fight. But will other judges be able to rise above their mortal limitations and do the same? Only time will tell, I suppose...

Lampley and Steward are not mortals. They saw those 72-punch combinations.

Just my opinion, Pacquiao's punches were not as crisp and clean as they have been in the past.

Unless he was snapping Marquez's head back so fast that it somehow sprung back into place before he could physically show the whiplash or even register the feel of its effects, then no.

JMM's style will always trouble Pac. Was it ever enough to win? Not in 3 fights.

Sad you can't acknowledge reality and be objective. You've got no business criticizing Floyd fans for any bull**** or bias. It would be hypocritical. If you honestly think Pac won all 3 of those fights than you're just incompetent at scoring fights.
