Do you consider Manny Pacquiao to be in his prime still?

    - In his prime
    - Still improving actually
    - Passed prime, but near it
    - Well passed it

Please vote on the poll, and would like to hear comments as well. :good

Either he's in his prime or he's not but looked like it because he fought a C+ fighter.

Yes. He has put it all together and has less flaws then a few years back. He's a complete fighter now, and even if he's not as fast as when he was younger, he's still faster than almost everyone from 140-154.

I agree. If it were Mayweather who fought Margarito that night, the fight would have been stopped in eight rounds tops. Due to Margarito's both closed eyes. I honestly didn't know Margarito was THAT SLOW a fighter. I'd say he is a "D" fighter.

Still at a very high level, but beginning to show slight decline physically.

I don't see how anyone could be in their prime after the brutal wars he's been in and all these fights and weight jumping. Not physically. Technically though, yes. He's as good as he's every been, imo. In a technical skill level way. Physically, he still looks great of course against larger, slower men, but I have to figure the toll of all that wear and tear is in there somewhere.

He's definitely not in his physical prime. His technical prime has gone as far as it can. I know they were working a lot on preventing uppercuts in the training camp, but emmanuel stance will always make him a sucker for that punch. Something as simple as his stance has grown into an unbreakable habit for him at this point.

Agreed. He's been that slow and indeed a D class fighter withe the following E or F class (heck journeymens) fighters in his resume: Sergio Martinez, Clottey, Cotto, Cintron (twice), controversial loss against Paul Williams.

I'd say he's *just* passed his peak but still in the general area of "prime."

Well said. :good People should distinguish between the two. Physical prime I'd say Pacquiao is past it and it showed last night. He has been through many wars and is not known to be the best defender out there.

To me Pacquiao's prime was when he beat Hatton, or even before that.

The key word is IF. We wouldn't know really unless he come out and fight Margo, Pac, or anyone in WW division. IMO, Pac will knock out Floydie.

Pac is in his physical prime. Having all these other commitments especially politics doesn't really help his cause boxing wise though. He's done a lot already but I'd like to see him around for another couple of years while he is still great.
