 Cotto has a good shot at beating PAC.....he has the advantage. Cotto is a better boxer now after his loss to Marg. That Josh who was dominating Marg until he had to fight with one hand is a serious WW, and Cotto do very well against Clottley who IMO was the favorite leading up to that fight.....not b/c of popularity, but b/c Josh is bigger, stronger and a better boxer with a style that isn't suited for Miguel....

YET, Cotto won and he won b/c he's got the heart of a champion. Josh faught a great fight but he doesn't have ht champions heart Migue does. If Josh did he would have beat Miguel...who would have also beat Miguels sole conqueror, Antonio Margarito had not been for having to fight half the fight one handed.

Cotto has been getting better, he's a more intelligent and a smarter boxer now since take the "L" at the hands of Marg....that will only HELP him in there with PAC.

NO MATTER WHAT COTTO shows up it would not have made a difference one way or the other. If PAC wins, which I believe he will, it won't be b/c
" if the cotto that fought clottey turns up then a 70% fit manny pacquiao is good enough to do the job.":rofl

People aren't giving Cotto his dues for beating Josh. Josh would give Foyd fits so I'm not sure why people think Cotto had a bad performance. Josh should have won given the advantages he had going into the fight. Josh definitely would have beat Marg had not been for his injury, Josh is bigger, stronger and has a style that favors him over Miguels style. People are just so caught up on "POPULAR" boxers that they over look very good boxers like Josh. Winky had the same issues until he finially got his shot....Wink lost to Vargas which was his first shot he blew.

I think many are planting the seed that there shall be a very "VALID EXCUSES" for a PAC win against a very good fighter in Cotto. I would not be surprised to see Cotto win by a KO. He's big enough, seasoned enough and powerful enough to Drop PAC.....I'd just be even more surprised not to see PAC win and win inside 12.

PAC went after Floyd but avoided JMM before his fights with DLH and Ricky. Floyd was on his high horse and felt PAC wasn't worth his time and why fight JMM?? He beat him twice....the first fight was a gift.....literally. That fight was given to JMM on a draw due to a mistake, the second fight was close but Manny won clearly in a very competitive fight. PAC put JMM on his ass yet again and didn' get credit for anther KD that JMM showed very good balance with the help of the ropes.

Who says he is taking Cotto lightly? I am sure when the 8 week training camp rolls around he will train just as hard, if not harder than ever, knowing this is clearly a much more difficult fight than his last two.

I wouldn't read into the petty media stories being thrown around.

its to be expected. They'll lookout for it and then Roach will enter the ring and attack Cotto. Then Cotto's trainer will roundhouse Roach...sound familiar?:smoke

Pac doesnt underestimate Cotto. his training would be just the same as before. If he loses to Cotto, its only because Cotto is a better 145 lber. :good

So Cotto better destroy manny- because thats the way bigger guys MUST do to smaller ones. The pressure is on Miguel's side.

Im sure even IF Pac beats Cotto convincingly, he will still come back to 135-140. He really has no business fighting at welter.

I dont understand why Pac is the favorite here. IMHO this is a 50-50 fight. or maybe 60-40 for Cotto.:deal
