Never understood why Roach didn't develop Pac's body punching game into a real weapon to complement his straight left and right hook. His body punches are devastating!!!

Margarito — badly hurt, had him bent and leaning into an uppercut that shattered his orbital bone.

Broner — badly hurt and folded him, but Broner is teak tough.

Roidquez — badly hurt, did a little awkward Bambi dance.

Thurman — badly hurt, almost folded him, and had him running around the ring taking out his mouthpiece to breath.

Rios and Morales were also visible shaken to the core after Pac ripped them to the body.

He also shook Morales in the first round of their first fight with a liver shot.

He would be if he went there more often. This was a major gripe of mine back in Pacquaio’s prime. A monster puncher just headhunting. And the few times he went to the body he visibly hurt guy’s. It was frustrating to watch. Old Pacquiao seems to be going to the body a little more though. A good sign. He’s become a bit more surgical with age.

Damn, I also forgot about Rios. He made Rios dip and lower his output for the rest of the round.

Being a good body puncher means landing a lot of body punches. Pac hardly threw any so tough to call him underrated. There's no secret to it if you are a good puncher your body punch will have power behind it

    Almost as underrated as Floyd.

No, it means that you can badly hurt people with it when you do go to the body. Danny goes pretty consistently to the body, but his body shots don't fold people or have much visible impact on the opponent.

I gave you examples of durable and larger men reacting very badly to Pac's body shots.

Any fighter with power is capable of hurting a man with an unimpeded shot to the body. A good body attack is more about commitment than 1 shot power

When it comes to body punching it doesn't ring a bell to Manny Pacquiao. Manny did everything great, including Muti tasking at times. Cotto or Hopkins are better known for a body pynch but lack the gifts that Pacquiao has.

It is fair to say that about Hopkins his livershot practically grazed Oscar. Also Cotto was known for changing fights with his shot. I think Manny is more of the full package tbh.

It was astonishing that Morales didn't go down. Christ, talk about biting down on the mouth piece and riding out the pain.

People love fighters like Morales and Holyfield becuase the fight didn't start when the bell rang. The fight started they got hurt.
