Rios isn't a power puncher. He is flat footed with zero defense and was zero threat to KO Pacquiao that is why they fought him.
With 23 KOs I wouldnt say he was ZERO threat. Pacquiao's chin could have been china for all they knew so it was a fairly fair match to put together. Give Pacquiao a guy he'll look good against stylistically but might be able to land a punch and test his chin. Was a good match up (No defence for Algieri of course. Random pointless fight).
Nobody (except Maidana), who fought him ever says Mayweather can't hit. I believe at WW he is somewhat power deficient, but he hits hard enough that people don't just wade in reckless. There are quite a few fighters out there that have no power at all, Compare people who fight them to people that fight Floyd. Far different tactics are used.
Nothing to do with power. If they wade in reckless, they get made look stupid by the slickest boxer in history.
Just how is that, he taken monster shots and stayed upright and has shown instant recuperation .. Pac on the other hand has hit the deck three times the last time he was Oout out for over 5 min if not longer. He also shown to be hurt by light puncher like bradly and Al.. At 36 Pac's style of fighting is no longer suiting him, he is not a man in his 20s anymore.
Right !! thats why when Maidana and Castillio both where caught with sold shots they both backed off the gas. And going forward is the only thing they know how to do. but in both cases both back up a step after taking solid shots.
No, Marquez landed a perfect shot and has always had that kind of lullaby power when he connects just right. (ask Likar Ramos, or Juan Diaz, or Jimrex Jaca) They call him Dinamita for a reason.
If Pacquiao's style doesn't suit him, how has he breezed by Bradley, Rios and Algeiri with ease? As said, Bradley was NOT throwing light shots in that fight. Also, I didn't see Pac being "hurt" by Bradley anyways. And does Al mean Algeiri? Because there was NO point in that fight that Al "hurt" Pacquiao. Don't be ridiculous. Plus, what are these "monster shots" Floyd has taken? Not that this is a downside of May of course, but that Cotto punch on Pac in the other thread is bigger than every single punch ever landed on Mayweather. That's not a diss to the man, he's just that damn good at slipping the shots.
