While we're on the subject of Manny's defense:

A very interesting fight would be if Manny stepped up again to LMW, and went against Saul Alvarez. Saul might be a hair too slow for Pacman, but he wouldn't be intimidated, and would test Pac's defense, no doubt. It would be like a rabbid pitbull fighting a tasmanian devil.

Manny's getting naturally heavier as he ages, (or un-naturally, take your pick) so this could actually happen. I'd sure pay to see it.

I gave Cotto round 10. He did good in round 8, but screwed up when he went to the ropes and still go messed up in that round
we'll just have to see then. I hope Floyd slows the tempo of the fight down, but I wouldn't mind seeing them trade.
As long as Floyd comes out on top :smoke

Pacquiao does that better than Floyd.

Of course . A lot of people only see 'iq' in defense, and dont understand the intricacies of offense. Even tho Pac's defense is pretty underrated - he's a good counter puncher, and he can slip punches as good as anybody when he wants to. Offensively, he's a beast.

People don't know how hard it is to throw combinations like he does, and land them. It takes a lot of skill and timing. If you think all he does is throw punches with speed, go get in a boxing ring and see if you can do it.

Underrated in general by casual fans and his naysayers. Overrated in general by his fans and followers... He's solid defensively and his IQ isn't bad.. It's not top notch, but it's not bad by any means IMO. He just has a very good corner and hasn't had to adjust much in his fights, recently.

He's got a good ring IQ. His defense is avrage, above avrage at best.

Out of 52 fights. If Floyd decides to fight 52 fights, I gurrantee he will have a loss.

Amongst common opponents with exception to JMM, pac has been hit less then floyd. Even with a bad leg or to some his legs are now gone, pac got hit less with their latest common opponent, Mosley, in which floyd was hurt where pac wasnt. Many people say floyd had a better performance then pac with mosley, yet stats show pac was hit less then floyd from mosley and without getting hurt. Pac also hits more on all categories compared to common opponents, showing his boxing IQ. The only category floyd wins is throwing less and throwing to landing ratio. However pac lands more with more power shots. Pac wins in a lot of categories compared to floyd amongst common opponents.

I would hope Pac wouldn't get hit more than Floyd when only fighting 2 rounds.

Floyd had the option of knocking Ricky out in 2 rounds also.

Knocking him out was his defence. Lol. Besides, average his 2 rounds of getting hit to floyds average with hattons and pac average is less. I will give half credit to floyd for schooling jmm, even though he didn't make weight. With that size difference he should have hurt marquez more then once though.
