You seem to have reading difficulties, lad, even with your own post. You asked: I responded : He was linear/lineal at 126, 130, 140 and 147. You already agreed, in your question, that he was linear at 126, 130 and 140. I didn't say he was linear at 135. In fact, I stated: He was the best in the division at 135, but moved up before he could face Casomayer for the linear 135. (Casamayer was the linear champ at 135 at the time). I never said he was linear at five. I identified four weights 126, 130, 140 and 147. Prior to this forum's adoption (correctly, IMO) of the TNBR rankings ( http://www.tbrb.org/charter/ ), the RING championship determined linearity. Pac became champion at 126 when he beat Barrera and remained so till he moved up. He became champion at 130 upon beating JMM until he moved up again. He became champion at 140 when he beat Hatton until he moved up again. Most recently, he became the TNBR when he fought Bradley (3) . (They were ranked 1 and 2 at the time of the fight) So for what it's worth (not a great deal, IMO) he was the linear champion in four divisions. I can draw a picture if that might help.
I actually have no clue how Manny managed to be successful at Flyweight, becoming the lineal Flyweight champion. He was a big Flyweight but size isn't everything in any given weight class - Pac's frame was big but he was physically weak and was so crude, lacked solid fundamentals.
The one thing Mayweather taught Canelo from their fight was " do not fight the other hot guys in your division until they get ring worn ! Boxing has become a joke.
This is nothing to do with Mayweather. It's to do with you and your stupidity. There are lots of things to dislike about Mayweather, I get that. What I don't get is why your dislike of him seems to have turned you into a total moron. You denigrate an honest pro like Calzaghe, someone who fought their way up to top on hard graft whilst hero worshipping that cheating POS Margarito. That tells me everything I need to know about your stupidity.
I think some of his past 130 accomplishments are a little blown out of proportion but I'd say his overall resume is solid Considering the weight he started at and where he wound up and for how long he was an elite fighter for I do believe he has a losing record vs JMM I do believe his 8th weight class title was extremely manufactured being it was a catchweight vs a guy with no experience at the weight I was critical of his catchweight for the title vs Cotto much like I was critical of Floyd for the catch vs Canelo and the catchweight 160 lb title fights However when he first came to the states his goal was to take out the Mexican trio and he did by beating Barrera 2X, Morales 2 out of 3 and on paper Marquez in the second fight so to me that is admirable that he announced he was going to face these fighters and did and did so successfully regardless of how I scored the fights I do think the time has hurt the De La Hoya win but to be honest nobody was picking him and it was a serious mismatch on paper according to most writers and people of the boxing community I do think he kind of passed over 135 beating the weak link belt holder at the weight and moving up but Cotto, Margarito, Hatton, Clottey, Bradley are great names to have His performance and poor sportsmanship post Mayweather were pretty abysmal
Yup, 2 HOF careers but 3 careers in total. 1st Career: Tough Beginnings. Light Flyweight-Flyweight. He lost twice (knocked out) against no namers, won lineal flyweight title. Was very malnourished in this career. It was remarkable enough how he managed to beat ATG Flyweight Sasakul. 2nd Career: Welcome to America. Super Bantam-Super Feather. Earned an ATG career after what he achieved in those divisions under the guidance of Freddie Roach. 3rd Career: Another Galaxy. Rose the weight classes in the most remarkable manner. The former Light Flyweight, Lineal Flyweight Champion DOMINATING at Lightweight, Light Welterweight, Welterweight and even a title at Light Middleweight. He ended up having an ATG resume at Welterweight. Just unbelievable. Remains at the top even though he's semi-shot.
I'm a moron ?? After what you posted about Tony Margarito I rather think that label suits you better. Do you know Tony ? Have you ever met him?? NO!! You just follow what the media, Mayweather & Nazim Richardson said about him ALL LIES !! Ive known Tony since 1999 when he came to Ft Worth Texas to fight Buck Smith as a complete unknown. Ive seen his hands taped for many many fights but have never seen any irregularities. Neither has anyone else. As for Mayweather ?? I DETEST CHEATS!!!!!!!!!!! 750 ml of saline =CHEAT As for Calzaghe?? Look at many of his fights in England Look at some of the "stoppages" LOL Hell he cannot throw a LEGITIMATE SCORING PUNCH!!! Oh & BTW I was born & bred in England OK
