So.. if you're not a Pac fan, then you aren't a boxing fan? How many of you ****ing people are going to get all mushy and ****, just because someone don't worship Pac???

I love boxing. And I would love to see Joshua Clottey win the title again. It just so happens that Pac is in the way. Too bad the little fella will get steam-rolled.:smoke

    This^^^ is a true statement...

I have no problems with the latter Pacquiao wins: d. diaz, oscar, hatton, cotto.....

Where I do think there is a problem in his resume is the larios, velazquez, and solis' of the world.....There was Soto, Guzman, Chris John, and Juan Diaz....that would have looked better then that larios, velazquez, and solis'.....

    but still a great resume...

anyone can say stuff like that and go down the line and knock each fighter. It is just a way to discredit someone. Most resumes are not as great as they look. No fighter is invincible.

Because Manny's style leaves something to be desired. Manny has terrible defense, he's off balance when he throws punches, he has no head movement... it's like watching a Tough Man competition. He picks flat-footed opponents who will either stand there (Clottey) or come forward (Cotto/Hatton). Manny's gift is speed. His speed creates the openings that you always hear about. However, there is very little science to his sweet science. If you compare Manny to a master boxer like Mosley or Floyd, it's like having a top fuel dragster vs. an Indy car. Manny is all speed no handling, and that's fine if you're going in a straight line, but boxing is like the Indy 500. As was once posted here on ESB, if you wanted to show someone how to box, or an example of a master boxer, you would not show them Manny Pacquiao.

While his appeal is great for boxing, some purists don't like to see such a limited fighter on top. Factor in the questions raised by his refusal to test, and his running away from the negotiation table against Mayweather to fight Clottey and I think that many fans are just sick of the Manny Pacquiao mystique. Manny Pacquiao is to boxing, what Chuck Liddell was/is to the UFC. Unstoppable against certain kinds of opponents, and a great ambassador for the sport (if only he spoke English).

To all of the other posts that I quoted, :good

LMAO at these joyboys trying to nitpick and bringing down pac's resume. if ever floyd beat hims, they would say pac is an ATG and is one of the the best of this generation.

Pac has a below average chance of beating Mayweather, and if he were able to pull that fight off, for me it would not catapult him to ATG status or anything crazy like that. He'd be the better man on that night and I would leave it at that. Is Vernon Forrest a HOFer? He beat Mosley who is a HOFer, so why didn't Vernon rise? Same thing IMO.

So because you think that based on the fact that Sr. recommended Floyd not fight him because he believes Manny is dirty, that means that Manny has a good chance of winning? I don't think that you should fight a 6th grader. Does that mean that you don't have a chance of winning. Same logic.

I believe, regardless of what you or Sr. says, I believe that Manny has a below average chance of beating Floyd because I see Manny as one dimensional, and only effective against a certain type of fighter. JMM took Manny to the limit. Floyd has a similar, counter punching style, but he is leaps and bounds better than JMM as we saw when they fought. Now before you go spouting off about weight, those 2 pounds did not enable Floyd to land 60% of his punches according to CompuBox did they?

whatever pacquaio's resume is? it is HELL OF A LOT better than floyds

what top 3 welterweight weight has floyd fought?

his claim to fame is a 33/34 year old over the hill oscar, a 140 fighter in hatton by forcing him to 147, a 135 fighter in marqez by forcing him up 2 weight classes

pacquaio, barrera, moralis, marquez, hatton at his best weight and cotto at his best ever condition which he even said

and before the idiots say he ducked mosley by fighting cotto instead, just think, i know its hard, but think, he went for the man who beat mosley, the man who everyone started posting on was going to knock the **** out of pacquaio and that he was in his best condition which he even said

he went for a better boxer than mosley

well there is no fact that you can support that pac has below average chance of winning against floyd..while i have a fact that void sr doesnt want to fight his son to fight pac..:rofl if you consider jmm a legit win then that tells how low IQ you are and I will also consider the Oscar win as legit where floyd also got an SD but quitting against pac..:rofl

Hold Pacquiao's resume to the standards of Mayweather's and they both will crack out about the same, if not worse for Pacquiao.
