Is Pac's punching power increasing or does Hatton have a glass jaw?

Speed, power, positioning, punch placement; Pac showed it all against a guy who charged in like a 3rd rate club fighter. It's more about Pac's skill vs Hatton acting like an idiot by trying to bum rush him.

i cant beleive that his prediction that "this wont last longer than 3rds" would realy happen.. the same way that he predicted ODLH will be stopped inside 8

Give credit where its due......Thats just how Hattton fights and he's been pretty effective with that style for many years.....
I picked Hatton and was wrong. I knew Pac would land shots early on, but I expected Hatton to be able to take some punishment from Pac in the early stanza's and get the fight into the midrounds where Hatton's strenghth could have been a factor.......

:lol:My vision of the fight went down the tubes when Hatton got hurt badly by a right cross that is'nt really a Pac strongsuit.......but Pac deserves the credit, he exploited Hatton's weaknesses, and not many fighters do it like Pacquiao!

'i do like manny, hes a warrior with a massive heart, but he is not a technical boxer!!!'

I completely disagree, Manny is a great technical boxer. He's not like Carl Froch (big heart, solid chin, ROBOT when it comes to skills) Manny has great footwork and headmovement AND couterpunching skill and finishing skills. He executed his gameplan perfectly.

I just don't understand why you're saying he has no boxing skills? He has AMAZING boxing skills?

His power isn't increasing as such, but he is more accurate and faster in comparison to slightly slower heavier fighters. Awesome knock out.

Incorrect, Eamonn Magee dropped Hatton earlier in his career.

I would say that Hatton had a decent beard in his day, but that is long behind him now.

Not to take anything away from Manny, but this might have been a case of Ricky's lifestyle catching up with him. He shown poor punch resistance against Lazcano, we couldn't judge it agaist Paulie as he couldn't break an egg, so we are left to judge what Ricky has left on last nights performance.

One to many burgers, a few too many beers, and one too many Pacquiao's for Hatton I reckon.

Punching power doesn't normally increase when you move up in weight. Punch resistence, however, does sometimes decrease as fighters age and accumulate wear and tear. I would say that Hatton's chin HAS to be considered suspect after this fight.

yeah, when you stand toe to toe with him he has! but when hes at range and he tries to hit you, his footwork actually goes out the window. trust me mate... if ya can, go watch marquez v pacman for example and just watch what happens when he tries to throw from range :deal... peace!!!
