Barry McGuigan is often cited as the most skilled Ishish boxer of all time but it's clear 30 years of evolution has taken shape since then and Donovan looks like the best Irish boxer in history by the eye test

Ryan Burnett imo, it's a pity he retired early after winning a few straps as he was outrageously good.

Jimmy McLarnin is the most skilled irish fighter of all time & it's not even close. He fought the best fighters in the world for 13 years. In 77 career bouts, he met 15 world champions and 14 fellow HOFers scoring wins over 12 of them: Fidel LaBarba, Pancho Villa, Bud Taylor, Louis Kaplan, Sid Terris, Sammy Mandell, Billy Petrolle, Benny Leonard, Young Corbett III, Barney Ross, Tony Canzoneri, and Lou Ambers. He also had a draw with Memphis Pal Moore and a SD loss Lou Brouillard. Both are HOFers too.. stick your evolution crap.. Irish fighters are poor these days by comparison. All style no substance.
