Lol those comments, Dubois has lost nearly all his hype and goodwill from his recent wins with this whole debacle.

So this way you're just categorizing boxing fans - European bad, US good. Heavyweight boxing was just fine in the Klitschko era when it comes to public interest. It just shifted a bit geographically because the best out there were European. Nothing wrong with that.

    Stop twisting my narrative

It's quite simple what I'm saying

I'm not even bloody American so couldn't give a toss

But if only a certain section of the world are watching it's hardly the best direction for the sport

    It was a shite era

Although I rate Wlad for his accomplishments, the vast majority despised the era, Nobody ever got too excited for a wlad fight, unless he had a dance partner like Haye or Joshua

You can say the same about the eras where Europeans weren't tuning in, lol. Overall, the fights back then where watched by the similar amount of people that before and after. Sometimes even more. The biggest fights sold similar amount of PPVs.

Wlad could only sell a ppv if he fought a star like haye, Fury or Joshua

It's well known the States until recent times was the place to make the most money. It's why it's a little daft to say fighters like Floyd only fought at home. He fought where he was going to get the highest pay check. If someone was daft enough to offer him 9 figures plus to fight at Wembley? He would be over in a heartbeat. But only Vegas and the American market could generate the dough. This is why Irishman Conor mcgregor only fights in the States, not the UK or Ireland, as he's a global star and the American market is what is bringing in the dough. Now Saudi in boxing is doing it

So to cut a long story short, the States and the fans wanted nothing to do with wlad. I know he was popular in Germany and made some dough, but if he had of cracked the ppv market in the States? He would be much better off financially. As big as Joshua is in the UK, he never fully cracked the market, but unlike wlad he has an exciting style. He did come over, but got his s..t pushed in, but that's another story

I guess the essay above is not needed, but it's a slow day in the office, so I will just say again, wlad fights are only good for those sho have sleep disorders. Not only do I never rewatch wlad fights, I struggle to watch highlights of the fights. I either switch off, or skip to the finish. The Aj fight was an exception

    Boring

Well , generally the klitschko made their promoting story presenting themself of being always polite, well educated gentlemen and simultany superb athletes . Then their fairy tale "we will never fight each other since we promised mom bla bla " .

Germany massivly promoted the klitschko story since it was what the germans wanted to hear and paid for , but the fights indeed were mostly boring and on the international level not very popular .

Nevertheless they made with 69 and 47 fights quite a legacy and boxed frequently , even when they obviously cherrypicked easy opponents especially after a loss .

The PPV sales were only solid with a western fighter to my knowledge

Before the fall of USSR Central and Eastern Europe wasn't exactly tuning in.

So just like in the previous eras, right?

I don't actually understand your argument at this stage

    I'll leave it at that

You will never change my mind

Your original argument was that the era was shyte because it wasn't popular and nobody wanted to watch it. I proved to you that the numbers worldwide were the same as the previous era. So that disproves the argument about the era being shyte because of the supposed lack of popularity.

You didn't prove anything as you showed me no numbers

I however looked that up myself
It was well viewed in a section of the world, but not globally like other eras

    You proved nothing lol

It was shyte and was thought of as shyte by boxing fans across the world

People were overjoyed when Fury ended that dismal period of HW boxing

Anyway back to Parker, he should be next in line for that IBF shot
