    I'm really looking forward to Paul Williams' fight against Antonio Margarito. A lot of people say he is untested, but Williams has trained/sparred with a lot of top guys. He even sparred with Margarito about three years ago and word is Margarito's camp asked him to leave after a week and a half because Williams was supposedly working him over. I know you can't always pick a fight based on sparring. Who knows if Tony was working on something else and wasn't going all out. I think his lanky frame and southpaw style make him very hard to deal with. Do you guys think he can be the top guy at 147 pounds. Also, I came across a story that had a lot of background on Williams. It also had a Margarito training camp video. Thought you guys might want to check it out.

    if he hasnt worked on his defense he has no chance in this fight, from what I have seen out of Paul he dont fight so smart all the time, he uses the ropes and pulls straight back that will line him up to get cracked by a guy like Margarito, dont blink in this fight seriously.

    I just addressed this in another thread. If he wins impressively, he'll be on the radar and in the elite mix at welter. He will NOT be the top guy simply for beating Margarito, I don't care how impressive the victory.

    No way, he is young and high, in one or 2 years he will be struggling with weight and move up to 160.

    I thought you werent passionate win it comes to AM???

    Anyone who roots against a blue collar, hard working warrior like Margarito. . .a guy who has clearly earned his shot at the top but has been avoided for years. . . is a scumbag. . . .IB, yer back on the scumbag list. :good

    We will find out more about him tomorrow - if he wipes the floor with Margarito (as in 12-0, 11-1, 10-2) or KOs him in impressive fashion, he could very well be the next big thing in the division, but he may end up being the Kingsley Ikeke of 147. 1 more day and we will have a clearer picture!

    :lol::lol:

    I'm passionately sick of hearing his name thrown around in the p4p mix as some kind of avoided world-beater when nothing I've seen of him indicates any such thing.
