No top professional fghter who isn't desperate ever fights injured.

    Pavlik isn't injured. It's just a scratch.

If he were injured, he'd certainly not fight anyone, nevermind someone as good as Hopkins. Pavlik is a star and he doesn't have to go through with this fight right now, or at all.

The elbow "injury" is just an excuse in case Hopkins takes him to school. A bit pathetic, but his fans expect too much. On the other hand, Pavlik needs a fight against someone as good and experienced as Hopkins if he is to improve and reach his potential, so it was a fight worth taking long-term, even if it comes with a loss.

I don't wanna hear after the fight that he injured his elbow or any other thing,if Bernard beats him,he beats him

As said by others, this is just a built in excuse. I figured if he lost they would use the "weight division too far" excuse given that Pavlik stated he walks around at 175, and has never tipped the scales higher than 170 on fight night. They now have two excuses, so good for them.

If Bernard beats him this is what you're going to hear.

"Bernard is a great fighter and I have no excuses, my elbow hurt a couple a weeks back, but I made the fight."

Something like that. Believe me he if he drops this one expect to hear the elbow somewhere in the post fight interview.

didn't they say it was just a bruise? let's not make this out to be any bigger than the media's already made it.

Poor Pavlik fell over in the playground and has a boo boo on his elbow.

Im sure he is fine, he is a professional, this fight is one of the most important of his career, he definitely won't fight unless he is completely fit for the task. Now if Hopkins wins and someone mentions it, im going to pistol whip them.
