At 160 Mora is top 15. Not because he's great by any means, but the division is just so damn thin. After Pavlik, Abraham, Sturm, Williams, Wright, and Mundine, all you have left is a bunch of nameless no-hopers. Sturm will never come out of his cave, Mundine will talk about the big fights but never make them, Winky and Williams are fighting next month. So, basically we have Pavlik, Abraham, and the winner of Williams/Wright, after that 160 is pretty much usless.
Why bother putting Pavlik and Abraham on the same card when you could simply put them in the same ring and let them ****ing fight? The fight is big enough already to sell either in the US or Europe..... just get on with it already.
Iff Pavlik does face AA next then the Mora fight is fine. I won't purchase the ppv but as an opponent no problem. The thing is Bob Arum is a lying ****. I'll believe Pavlik-AA when I see 'em in the ring together.
Pavlik is fighting Mora to stay busy and Abraham is fighting Forrest last I heard, nothing to complain about there as it's obvious both want to impress before meeting one another. What's ironic is that Abraham picked the winner of the Forrest/Mora fight and Pavlik picked the loser. Both are staying busy and both announced that they have their eyes on each other. Let's be patient and see if what Arum said is true or if it's bull****, they only showed interest after Abraham looked bad in his last fight.
OOOooohhhh.....yeah, I did "forget" for a minute there about the whole P. Williams and Winky fight, and the possibilities with the winner of that one.
where is the pav fight going to be held??? if it isnt already, put it in the browns stadium and put abraham on the undercard w/ forrest (agreeing w/ posts above about the card). you know ohio would pack the stadium, and everyone bob arum thinks needs to be exposed to abraham would have the best chance at it.
Personally, I think the only thing that might get in the way is if Winky beats Williams. We've discussed that ad nauseum.
I believe, Atlantic City. Something to do with the taxes in Cleveland ruled out the Quickens Arena, and evidently Arum hates and will not gamble with weather on out doors stadiums.
yeah the weather is always a gamble and i dunno anything about the taxes...it would be pretty cool tho...
Off the top of my head, sylvester, lorenzo, karmizan, spinks, duddy, gervor, and griffin would have a better chance then mora. I guess arum just wants pavlik to have another brutal beatdown ala locket
The tax situation was bad. Ohio tax at 5% and Cleveland City tax at 8%. There goes 13% of the gross before you spend a dime on expenses.
