I reserved judgement in the beginning because I wanted to give them a chance to succeed. It's been 9 months and I think it's a good time to evaluate them. Everyone expected them to start fast and they did, averaging some good numbers early with some solid fights. Everyone suspected the match-up quality would decline eventually...and they have. Ratings have declined as well, by more than 50% (4.2 million to 1.8 million for its most recent card) since its debut. It seems like fight quality has been declining. Thurman vs Porter would have been nice, but that fight isn't happening. And all the 'stars' at PBC isn't getting bigger and that's a shame. In fact, they seem to be getting less popular (Take Garcia, Stevenson, Thurman for example). Part of the problem is match-making. PBC fighters are given too many soft opponents (like Wilder) instead of taking on tougher fighters from other promotions. The other problem is all the different networks they're on...I missed quite a few cards because of it. Haymon may have money, but he's got fighters to pay and investors to answer to. If things keep going like this, it just may implode in their faces. Haymon need to start working with other promotions and start matching his fighters better if he want to turn things around.
The same could be said about every promotional outfit right now (Top Rank, GBP, etc). They need to start making more fights with other promotors.
Haymon's model is risky, he wants too much too fast, that being said I have enjoyed what PBC have brought this year, I don't think it will last long though.
Except that they have been matching fighters against other promotions a lot lately. GGG-Lemieux, Alvarez/Cotto are just recent examples. If Haymon want to open the doors, I'd love to see GGG/Lara.
God it's like torture watching any PBC card.Word on the curb is that it's winding up late 2017.They all thought getting these guys on CBS and NBC would raise there profile when they came back to Sho...peter quitten vs Jacob bombed badly and Sho forked out 4 mill..Then last week we had BJS vs Lee wich did even less.PBC failed cos they cannibalised there own with over saturation.Haymon tried his best to ffck up HBO but HBO got better..HBO make stars and are a powerhouse...
Ffrom the outside looking in from the UK, the viewing figures are poor for a 320mil + country so it can't be easy to sell advertising space etc. Some fights are poorly attended, i think guerrero was fighting in a near empty arena, as was degale vs dirrell. When the fighters purses are $1mil + and barely anyones watching with no obvious increases in viewers its hard to see how PBC can make money long term.
Some slight trouble sleeping, but nothing serious. I like to see good match-ups. GGG will bring the fight to Lara and make it exciting. Is it wrong of me to want to see Lara get his glass chin shattered?

The bottom Line is pbc is a scheme. All got about 500 million in investments and with he way he gets paid out of purses and runs the show he will walk away with between 50-100 million . think about ratings have been going down hill for ages and his made no attempt to put on better shows and get ratings up. If this was ran like a proper company there would be cut backs fighters getting paid less a dn peolel being made take harder fights. There's no money coming in. All has to pay for the TV slots(ratings are terrible so I doubt there much advertising revenue) stadium atrendence is very poor and fighters are getting paid a lot. Pbc has alrwsy lost I think 300 million or more. They will go bust within a year. Haymon will leave with a ton of cash and I think he will start up his own legit promotional company and keep hold of the fighters he wants or all of them. But when its his own company fighters will be getting paid a lot less
