    Duilio Loi was never down.

And had over 120 fights, and that also against very good competition and HOF´s...

Good post, only Ben Tackie did get knocked down by Sharmba Mitchell once, although it looked like an off-balance type of situation.

No but he's one of the few true elites that hasn't been down or really hurt in a fight. Quite an amazing accomplishment.

Vitali Klitschko never been knocked down ... officially or unofficially ... and he's retired.

I can tell you this though Floyd has never been knocked down ... Carlos Hernandez was credited with a knockdown but the ref of that fight says he regret that because no punch was thrown or landed and Floyd went down on his own will.

Zab Judah wasn't credited with a knock down because he didn't get a knockdown ... they couldn't find a correct angle for the public to see and the ref who's right there said it was a slip.

The official rules are that it's a knockdown, even if no punch is thrown, if the fighter goes down of his own will. Hence it's a knockdown if someone takes a knee, or if someone falls because of an injury not caused by a punch (like when Jesus Chavez tore his knee up).

:good By which ever way you look at it, at least 1 of those has to be called "legitimate."

It has to be the result of a punch ... Hernandez wasn't near Floyd when he went down ... in fact he just got through hitting Hernandez.

And its up to the ref to determine that ... and now that he had a chance to reflect back on the fight - he regrets ruling that a knockdown.

Floyd knows that he's never been knock down before so it doesn't matter what we think ... he's won all of his fights by UD or TKO ... never came close to losing a pro fight ... that bull**** SD from DLH happens every time he loses a fight.

:-( Wait, so the knockdown against Carlos Hernandez shouldn't be counted because because it was not a true knockdown, and the true knockdown against Zab shouldn't be counted because the ref never ruled it a knockdown?

LaMotta was down once at the end of his career against Danny Nardico.

Some notable champions who never touched the canvas in their career:

    Sixto Escobar
    Juan LaPorte
Billy Graham (welterweight contender in the 40's and 50's, over 100 fights)
    Oliver McCall

Marvin Hagler's sole "knockdown" was actually a pull-down by Roldan, and really should not have been counted.
