some say only few of his opponents were at the prime of the career when he fought them. some say that PBF is protected fighter! there is cotto, margarito clottey and many more to fight him but what did he do? he retired.. these guys are welterweights but as a heavy boned fighter you know you can reach that weight if you are NOT AFRAID! cotto and him has almost identical stats just like him they were both undefeated a year or 2 years ago infact hes taller than the guy! cotto as i see him is a very fearless man like pacman and these are the guys we need to boost the popularity of boxing! now hes coming back for JMM. lets see how PBF will prove to the world how great he is! im not a PBF hater nor a fan and neither a JMM hater nor a fan but im looking forward for a thrilling fight for both of these guys! I have been shitting on Floyd for years now so I will be honest. I don't think he's overrated, just overhyped by his accomplishments for the last couple of years.
hmm says... i'm saying he was overpaid for what he was worth in the ring... Sure he has mad skillz but I wish his fights were more entertaining like he said they would be. "I'm gonna knock his ass out. I'mma tap that ass"........ split decision......... I want some of my ppv money back.
they might say that one of the factors of choosing the best p4p are fighter that they kod.. who the helll is Henry Bruseles? who the hell is Phillip N'dou? who the hell is Emanuel Augustus?? damn all of those popular fighter who he fought was not KO'd!!! lets talk about pac KO who is ODLH? who is? barrera? who is morrales? who is JMM? who is diaz? who is? HATTON!! common!!
I think if anything Mayweather is actually underrated. The man gets shitted on but he had one of the greatest 130 lb carrers ever and he still has a perfect record. His work at 140 is **** but his wins over Baldo, Judah, and Hatton tend to get underrated at welterweight. Baldo was the lineal champion so he had to get him out of the way, Judah was a tough styles matchup, and Hatton was undefeated and close to his prime. The DLH fight was a huge dissapointment after all that hype and fans are still bitter about that performance with good reason. He barely did what he had to do to get the victory. He could have impressed more in that fight. Mayweather has an underrated heart and chin. The only time he was down in his carrer was when he broke his hand and went down from the pain. Still he managed to bear it and win the fight. Skill wise he is as complete a fighter as you can get. It is a shame that his mentality lately seems to be all about big money and not great fights to go along with that big money. JMM is a great fighter no doubt but even as Floyd admits he is a smaller fighter Mosley or Cotto would have been a more respectable choice. Prime Corrales Prime Castillo twice DLH Prime Hatton Judah G. Hernandez Prime C. Hernandez Prime Jesus Chavez All these were very good or great fighters. His resmue is not as good as Pacquiaos but this is still very respectable
very well said! even arum told sometime 2007 that PBF is not an excting fighter. im just wondering who the hell in this world said that PBF is the best p4p while there are many fighters who are not undefeated but has a good KO in their resume?
I have never heard anyone cast any doubt on PBF's resume at 130. Anything above that is fair game! He is ridiculously rated high on the ATG lists by a lot of his fans based on a very dubious resume above 135.
You are pathetic. How the **** you gonna quote Bob Arum on something about PBF??? That's where you show your stupidity. PBF whips everyone you're talking about. Bar none.
in one of arums interview “Floyd is great boxer, and a talented boxer, but most people won’t pay a nickel to see him, because it’s not exciting. I promoted 35 of his fights, and only handfuls were exciting. You heard Cotto before, “he” is no bull shitter, and he will fight anybody. That’s the way it used to be!”
