Hilarious **** going on here. :rofl Ush, I gave you the exact ratings of Napoles' opponents at 147 at the time he fought them and you didn't even acknowledge it. :-( No longer would you of needed to carry on with the "at one time or another" mantra with that piece of meticulously, somewhat useless-but-fun information.
Hey Sweet Science... question... I know you feel like Napoles Resume is better than Pea's.. which I can see why you would think that... My question is... Do you feel like Napoles was as dominant in his biggest fights as Pea was in his?
I never said that was the blueprint. You said Duran always struggled with movers. I was responding to another instance of your stupidity.
How would you rate Pernell's opponents compared to his. How do you rate Azumah Nelson as an opponent at 135 rather than looking at the name. Sure you can grade Napoles's opponents, but besides Ray Leonard, there hasnt been another welterweight with a more dominant title reign. Its easy to nitpick his opponents and determine how good you think they are on name value. Then, its another challenge to find another welterweight within the past 50 years that had a more dominant title reign at that division, besides ray leonard. I have seen the ring magazine ratings and Napoles basically beat every top 5 contender of that era except Angel Espada.
Good to see the small man syndrome has come into play. So nitpicking a sentence rather than debating if Whitaker's style would beat duran, yeah great way to answer the question, 'little' guy.
I would say at welter he was. Cokes x2, Griffith, pretty punch perfect really (these are the best fighters he beat at 147) Not so much against 'Iron Chin' Muniz I actually think Napoles threw the greatest counter right uppercut in history; in the second fight against Ernie Lopez. Absolutely beautiful, one of my favourite punches out of every fight I've ever seen. I'm clearly a 'Mantequilla' hater.
Dominant against which size of fighters? Sure pernell was more dominant fighting lightweights, Napoles was more dominant fighting bigger guys. Pernell has fewer blemishes, napoles has the deeper resume.
can we get the list of fighters who outclass pea yet? you've had days to work on it now. viruet is the guy its hard to look good against, different to actually struggling to win.
Good way to respond to that post, which was about boxing. Again, go back to the point of what I was saying. I'm also not 'predicting' who you are. I'm making an assessment based on what you're showing us. For example, the hypocrisy of your assertion that I I've 'little man syndrome' because I'm judging you. You're doing the same thing moron :hi: Also, why haven't you posted on any other topics? Going through this thread is ace, watching your development from 'hi guys I'm new' to the all knowing, all seeing oracle Again, who is greater: Masahiko Harada or Manny Pacquiao?
Mamby got the better of Viruet IMO. Mamby was another guy difficult to look good against. Oh, yeah, Duran beat him handily :yep
I also made my assessment based on the language you use and the way you like to get off topic and make it personal, which is someone with a low self esteem. Duran didnt have problems with fernandez, great I tip my hat off to him. He struggled against viruet and I see whitaker beating him at least once or twice in a 4 fight series against Duran by outslicking him to a decision and avoiding a brawl. You disagree, thats good for you. I dont have to play the 'my opinion is valid, your opinion is ****' argument, those with low self esteems do that.
I only do it because of what you post. Your opinion deserves little respect IMO because you're typical of what I've seen on here many times before. Not here for debate, just for hate. How can I have low self esteem? I'm loved wherever I go you mentalist.
There isnt anything you have shown that tells me you are a boxing expert. Your loved in your own mind, no one gives a crap about you.
I never said on boxing. I mean in general, my life is pretty stress free. I also concede that there are far more educated minds than me on boxing. My peers don't think so, hence why I was voted 'Poster of the Year' last year. Means little, but shows my opinion is valued at least a little more than you claimed. But as I say, I do not profess to be an expert (only on Thai boxing, still a fair amount to learn there as well but if I had a 'niche' that would be it I guess) I just don't let people talk utter drivel like yourself. What you've done is have an online nervous breakdown and contradicted yourself. For some reason, the rules and criteria you apply to Ike Williams are not the same as those that you lay on Duran. Odd that. Again, who is greater, Manny Pacquiao or Masahiko Harada?
