Is Plant better than Saunders and Callum Smith?

Let’s be honest it’s nothing that really differentiates most of these fighters from the next because none of them are fighting anybody.. he could be but it’s really no way of telling, eyes test don’t matter if you fighting guys who not even ranked

 

His timing is a bit better than them.

 

168 is a wasteland. David Benevidez appears to be the only real one, but even he hasn't fought really anyone of note.

 

hes better and gets a real training camp for an undisputed fight. Props to plant for not bending over in negotiation.

I suspect not... IMHO the three of them are pretty ballpark, which most likely means another relatively comfortable nights work for Canelo again.

We'll see, but I wouldn't be getting too much hopes up of Plant derailing the train.

Indeed, he's not likely to outpoint Canelo clearly either IMHO - we'll see, but I don't think a decision would be too controversial either at this point.

 

Planet is more consistent at the top level.

Saunders rarely tested himself over the years and he never got better. He had some mediocre performances over the years.

Smith was never that good to begin with. He lacked power, elite skills and footwork.

Planet is the best of the 3. He's got good skills, speed and footwork. The only thing he's missing is elite power.

 

Same level as Smith as maybe half level below BJS

 

Plant's work ethic and effort make him more consistent than Saunders. However, prime Saunders was on another level. He is more naturally talented than Plant imo.

 

And how many top level opponents has he had to demonstrate this? (Not that BJS or Smith did either)


It's fine to consider him better if you have reasons (I don't necessarily agree but that's fine) or just go by a gut feeling, but there's that and then there's throwing BS out to try and justify it...
