is PONGSAKLEK WONJONKAM the best thai boxer of all time?

    this thread wasn't really serious. I agree that Pone is probably the best, and then i'd rank Wonjonkam along with Galaxy, Sahaprom, Chitalada.

    Indeed. I'm not familiar with Kittikasum, i'll have to grub around the net for a couple of his fights.

    Not true Galaxy was on everyones pfp list when he was fighting and that was in a much deeper era than todays. Wonjonkam makes some peoples list today but when he does hes at the bottom, and that has only been recently. Galaxy was on those Pfp list for a quite awhile. Galaxy might have not fought huge names but neither has Pong. Also Galaxys only lost was early in his career and didnt have draws or losses during his reign(like Pong) instead Galaxy knocked out most of his challengers.

    Flyweight isnt a bad division at all right now or even when pong was at the height of his activity, IMO. Pong has some good wins himself, over naito, miranda, tunacao, he has been fairly dominant himself at the weight. I think it's time for him to move up or unify with Daiki(would be a huge gate in japan i think)

    i'd love to see Pong-Darchinyan

    Lol you have to admit thoough what he did to a good boxer in Dunne was impressive:good.And hes beaten some good contenders since to.

    Dunne was outboxing him but you could tell by the way he kept stupidly standing on the inside Poonsawat was going to KO him. I hope he can get some good fights, guys like Nishioka and Molitor, maybe even another Cordoba fight, it was very close and I think Cordoba is ready to get back into championship class.

    As Greg said, Khaokor deserves a mention, with shut outs of Moon and Wilfredo Vasquez I his best wins>>>Pong and Khaosai best wins:yep

    Payakaroon, Chitalada and Muangsurin all deserve a shout as well.

    As Brickhaus put so well: Kingpetch is obviously the main man when it comes to Thai fighters.

    Yeah, but he didn't really beat any of those men apart from an old Perez in the rematch. Thailand was a corrupt place full of corrupt decisions, and Kingpetch was their hero. Still, he was at least as good as Wonjongkam. Venice Borkhorsor was better than either.

    This is also true, though Kingpetch seemed to acquit himself better in the rematches with all three of those. He made the most of a limited skillet IMO. Quality.

    But, as I say, Khaokor :yep
