Is Povetkin a top 50 ATG HW now?

    As we all know after his stunning KO over the dangerous Boswell in his previous fight there was no longer any doubt that Povetkin was at least a top 100 ATG HW. Now since then 'The Pov King' has also scalped the dangerous Huck, who himself is probably a top 10 ATG CW in a brutal war that showed real guts and heart.

    Looking at Povetkin's resume now it is clear that he is now at the same level as someone like Riddick Bowe, more than likely a lot better with Bowe only really ever having beat one decent fighter who was a blown up (on steroids I might add) CW anyway.

    Let's look at Povetkin's CV

    Olympic Gold super heavyweight winner and WBA champion with some fine scalps over World class opponents like.

    Huck
    Boswell
    Chagaev
    Chambers
    Byrd
    Donald

    Compared to someone like Bowe who most considered just outside the top 20 ATG HW's.

    Holyfield
    Hide
    Donald
    Golota (sort of)
    Everyone else Bowe beat were just bums.

    I think it's clear that Povetkin ranks higher than Bowe after looking at the evidence.

    Without Teddy Atlas as his trainer I just cant expect him to be.

    Alexander is bound to follow the same path as Michael Moore when Teddy stop training him. Oh man what a mess, look at what happend to Michael Moore after Teddy left him.:-(

    Personally, He's not even champion tier, because everyone knows that his title is a paper title. and that Wlad is the actual WBA Champion.

    He might become the champ when Wlad retires or if he does down the sad route that Jones is going down he might even beat Wlad at some point in the future

    Let's just say that Ali, Frazier, Tyson, Foreman, Norton, Holmes and Liston are very, very fortunate that the Pov-Beast wasn't around to rock their worlds. ATG. Maybe only the even greater ATG, SNV, beats him.

    "All-time great" and "Povetkin" are words that should not belong in the same sentence. So when that doesn't fit, let's come up with "TOP 50 ATG Heavyweights". What a ******ed thread.

    ATG is a bit of a stretch. He didn't look that good against Huck. Marco looked like he could go a few more rounds and Povetkin looked like he was thrilled the fight was over.

    :adminWTF....he is not even an ATG RUSSIAN HW much less a world class HW. He is the most protected HW since Gerry Cooney.
