Rocky was never a cruiserweight. Also, Rocky's weight was irrelevant, since the heavyweight division then and now has no weight limit. Rocky fought plenty of guys over 200+ and still destroyed them. Marciano never got a chance to fight the #1 contender Nino Valdez 6'3" 210 or #4 contender Bob Baker 6'2" 210, since they both got beat by the reigning light heavyweight champ Archie Moore, who earned his shot against Rocky. All of the guys Rocky beat cleaned the division out, which included all of the giants.

You also can't compare the big men that Tyson beat to the fat oversized bums Povetkin beat. Tyson beat giant guys that were in top top condition.

    Tyson:

    Tony Tucker 6'5" 220
IBF champion and also beat Buster Douglas, who would go on to beat prime Tyson.

    Mitch green 6'5" 225
Gave Trevor Berbick, who wou later become WBC champ s competitive fight.

    James Smith 6'4" 233
WBA champion and also stopped an undefeated Frank Bruno, who would later become WBC champ.

    Andrew Golota 6'4" 240
Good fighter, but always fell short in the top level.

    Lou Savarese 6'5" 240
Nothing special, but he was at least in decent shape.

    Povetkin:

    Nicolai Firtha 6'6" 259
    A fat slob.

    Andrzej Wawrzyl 6'5" 232
no boxing skill, chin, or power and a padded record full of old fighters.

    Mariusz Wach 6'7" 255
Good chin, but very limited skill and was always out of shape. He wasn't any competition for Wlad or Povetkin.

The only legit big man that Povetkin fought was Wlad, who easily beat him.

Thats a lie.. Tyson beat far better guys taller than 6'2 than Povetkin did. Its not even a contest.

Who did Tyson struggle with outside Douglas? Name the names?

Povetkin hasn't beaten any noteworthy tall HW.

    Tyrell Biggs 6'5 >>>>>>>>>>>>>David Bostice 6'5

    Sammy Scaff 6'5 >>>>>>>>>Patrice L'Heureux 6'5

Povetkin has no wins anywhere near as good as prime Holyfield. Povetkins generation of ranked fighters are much weaker than the division was in the 90s also.

Holyfield is obviously the best win between the two of the them. But Holyfield wasn't really prime for that fight, supposedly having a medical condition, and he avenged it anyway. Moorer then embarrassed himself against Foreman and lost in two seconds to Tua.

The rest of Moorer's resume is easily worse than Povetkin's and Povetkin doesn't have slip ups other than losing to Wlad. Moorer didn't fight a who's who of the 90s. Povetkin fought comp that was as good as what Moorer fought.

"Meldonium" Povetkin? Yes. Pre-"Meldonim" Povetkin who banged away at Jason Estrada for 12 rounds and never made him step back? No.

Or lost half a fight to a casual, breezily second-gearing Eddie Chambers?

Yup. The thing is, I really don't even blame guys for juicing, it's a hard business, and Holyfield and Tyson did it before the testing era, but it's just the fans making excuses for them.

    1) I blame them. Fight clean or **** off.

    2) Holyfield is a confirmed "guilty", no ifs ands or buts about it. Tyson, however, AFAIK is a "nobody really knows for sure". Lot of speculation that maybe he juiced post-prison but no "Evan Fields" smoking gun or anything.

I think he's a top 30-40 ATG regardless of height in a head to head sense. If he beats Joshua at age 39, with Joshua being in his prime....raise the roof on his stock.

No, sir, I wouldn't rank him. Maybe current Hw's 6'2?

Did I have to post that GIF? Not really. But it was an excuse to now perform a tangential Google Image Search for more GIF's of sexy ass dream girl Ellie Kemper, so :campeon:
