This guy has a gold medal, the support of hundreds of ESB posters who claim that he has championship potential, and is undefeated with a win against Chambers.

And he managed to do all this by standing right in front of his opponent with no head movement, little power, and porous defense.

Regardless, he's so far turned down a fight against Klitschko, Chambers for a rematch, and now Peter.

Will this guy ever fight anyone?

as far as winning a world title is concerned the answer will be NO Povetkin gets levelled by Haye+Klits,

Im a fan of his i just think he aint getting a title anytime soon all 3 champs are worthy in my opinion, he doesnt have th tools to dethone any of them

As far as I know he was injured and pulled out of the Klitschko fight.

There is some talk of him fighting Peter but I haven't heard anything solid about it or a Chambers rematch.

Unless you know something how can you say he ''ducked'' either guy?

He took on some tough opponents on his way up the ladder.I don't blame him for not fighting one of the Klits if he feels he is not ready, and he has nothing to gain by fighting Chambers again. However i see no reason not to fight Fat Peter, Povetkin should handle him easy and its a decent scalp to take

You know you've made it in boxing when ESB supports you.

He knows that he is not ready for Wlad, thats all.

I've read Chambers turned down the rematch. IBF offered it for the interim title but Chambers said he's already Wlad's mado.

turning down klitschko is one thing, but if he has seriously turned down a fight with sam peter he really needs to think about where he wants his career to go. :huh

povetkin is the future , smart move not taking the wlad fight after only 16 wins

Hes green as a HW goes and he is not a wuick improving fighter it takes a little longer for some, getting him in with the no1 HW could ruin him ,

Two years ago a lot of people were stunned at his advanced progress when he took on Larry Donald, in just his 13th pro career fight. I suspect his team want to slow it down a little and try to do it right the first time around. Still, Povetkin's young resume is the most impressive in a very long time ( wins over Chambers,Byrd, Donald in just 17 pro fights) so you need to cut him some slack.
