Oh isn't it splendid, Isn't it nice, To be here at the return, Of mighty Dave Price, This titan of scouseness, This giant of a man, 36 years of age, Now his career has began, For he conquered the Rhino, Sent his fans into rapture, When he sent Allen home, With an orbital fracture, Now Vegas awaits, And the fun can begin, As he takes on Deontay, With the world's glassest chin,
Dave being back is not down to luck; hard work, belief and the love for a buck. But heed this advice, for the sake of lord Christ To not yet go sell the work truck....
yeah, did you see him after the fight? he did the hip thrust "suck it" motion... once anyone does that, you KNOW THEY ARE BACK!!!!
Pricey back for some time now. He was competitive vs. Povetkin, was leading on the cards vs. a solid prospect like Kuzmin and beat two domestic level fighters (Ali, Little) comfortably. Now he beat hot streak Allen. Pricey looked really good last five fights imo despite losing two of them. If Dave Allen quits on his stool because of an injury caused by punches it pretty much tells you everything you need to know about the punching power of David Price. If Price lands one of those big uppercuts or 1,2s on most HWs heads they're going down. And not coming back. Allen just has an ATG chin.
Hell yeah! I’m on board the hype train. Made a fan out of me. What’s not to like? Every fight he’s in can end at any moment, now that’s exciting. You definitely wouldn’t want to blink for Wilder vs Price lol.
I'll be honest my money was on the fight not going past 6.I Iike both fighters, but I thought Pricey would start gassing in rounds 3-4 and Allen would go to work. I knew it wasn't likely to go 12, and thought Price could stop Allen early so put my money on under 6 rounds. But I had Allen favourite. Well pleased for Price. It looked like he had grew another lung. I hope he gets a bigger fight next, with decent wedge. If it was me, i'd take the best money fight next. I wouldn't take a chance on a 50/50 warm up fight, just in case.
Good for him. Truth is I think he has been quite unlucky, close to victory in three losses, Teper was a proven roider, Thompson seems to have been on something too. Boxing is unforgiving and if you have a little slump or the chips don't fall your way it can be all over pretty fast. Thompson and Teper losses really crushed his confidence at crucial times. I hope he doesn't just jump into a Povetkin or other elite level fight straight away but has a few more lower level fights first.
