This. Most everybody anyway. I feel prime Kovalev would be a tough fight for him. And LOL@ Some saying glass chinned roy jones beats him :lol:

Michael Moorer would definitely be tough. But I feel the odds of Artur surviving some scary moments and eventually getting to Moorer’s chin are higher than the other way around.

Funny you mention that nonsense about Beterbiev having “Elevated Test levels” but I just have a funny feeling you have roy jones held in high regard though

Think most here are familiar with jones’ VERY elevated levels among other things found before a late 90’s fight. Lol

It’s been said already but jones destroys Beterbiev, who is probably better than anyone else he faced at 175 but he wouldn’t land a glove on jones.
Kovalev is a tough one and the question is what was Kovalev capable of in his prime? Because I don’t think he ever achieved his potential he was beaten by Beterbiev either in sparring or amateurs iam not sure but Beterbiev is a gym rat and Kovalev loves a good drink.
I think Beterbiev beats ward and he probably beats Kovalev but he doesn’t get a look in with jones.
I think Beterbiev gets a pass that other boxers don’t get his resume isn’t all that but it doesn’t get used against him like Crawfords resume gets used against him.
I think in an argument of opposition fighters faced Crawfords holds up well.
This happens all the time in boxing some fighters seem to get ripped over their resumes and others get a pass.
But anyway the answer is no RJJ is

Artur is not normal. If he had turned pro earlier, not had the long inactivity between fights, promotional and injury issues. I think we would have seen the most destructive force to have ever entered a professional boxing ring, The most indestructible force of all time. However as it stands right now, if he beats Bivol, still an ATG light heavyweight.

Jones was a weight bully, both of these guys are overrated.

H2H hed probably be a handful for most but he's only had 22 fights in 12 years.. me personally i couldn't put him amongst the ATGs like Charles, Greb, Tunney, Moore, Loughran, Spinks etc.. even prime Conn in just his 3 years at LHW did more than Beterbiev imo..

Thing is i don't value the modern era as much as i do past eras.. they have it easy by comparison.. the gloves are more padded, they don't fight as often, they have next day weigh ins, there are more belts & divisions diluting the talent pool, the weight disparities are less, they have PEDs, better recovery methods etc..

No. Whatever fringe case might have existed for this died with the Bivol fights. The door to these sort of honors was knocking Bivol out fairly easy. That door is now closed.

Just like that? You're trying to set parameters for discussions that can never be accurate, but at least could have some emotion removed from then after 10 years or so. Bet you're one of these youngsters that say "i feel like" more often than "i think"...huh? Tell me I'm full of ****, bro. :smoking:

Yes, yes he is. He beat Bivol at 39 and lost an extremely close decision to him at 40. Bivol himself is top 5 all time H2H.

The new wave of Russians destroy just about every LHW in history, with Beterbiev being the best of all of them.

The 1990s and 2000s were full of PEDs cheats too

And let's not pretend that PEDs did t exist in the 70s and 80s too. They had insane looking body builders back then too so the chemical potency was there then too.....
