the last time (beside the judah bout) floyd had real trouble wth someone, was versus someone, who didnt care to figure out for his defnsive tricks and just got in with all he got.

ortiz in his last bout vs berto fought the axact same way, pressure, combos, body head...again pressure pressure, simply throwing a lot of punches, like jose back than.

either entering or in his prime, but just look how he looked vs berto, his super condition, his punches were crisp, he was in outstanding shape, like he in preparation for floyd.

Not the same but Ortiz nearing..... Ortiz not peaked yet, he might be close.. because WW seems like the perfect place to peak at, he has speed, power, size but just needs that experience...

Ortiz is as dangerous, they both stalk constantly.
Victor takes up more space than any fighter Floyd has faced.
He has a wide stance and throws a lot of diff power punches, why he knocksdown everybody. not so good footwork but he is on his toes and can move in position offensively very well

if Floyd dont trade he will be in trouble. Ortiz's losses r to fighter who throw high volume.

I think he is in his prime he started to show that in his last couple fights....

Whats also interesting is the fact that this is the 1st real welterweight not washed up that Floyd has faced.

A southpaw which in the past have puzzled Floyd...

A kid with Power and one who has put every single fighter he has faced on the floor...

and from the looks of it a fighter who has a point to prove and one who doesnt care what the **** you throw at him.....

Two totally different fighters. Castillo was a superb body puncher with relentless pressure. Ortiz uses way more lateral movement than Castillo and fights at a further distance.

The only comparable is they were both among the best in their division at the time. Ortiz is in his prime and Castillo was in his prime back then.

Who was better is a tough question because they are different. I suppose if Ortiz could pull off the upset he would jump ahead of Castillo otherwise Castillo has a solid legacy

Ortiz is near prime but not yet, still needs some more seasoning.

When JLC fought FLoyd, he was as good as he was ever going to get.
