Your problem is comparing his chin with Willard's . Carnera faced two punchers both destroyed him. Several others stopped him and the Champ with the lowest ko % of all time 25% floored him
Willard faced several punchers , only Dempsey whenJess was a fat 37 and Firpo, when he was a washed up 40+ even floored him.

No one else on here thinks Willard's chin was weak, let alone as bad as Carnera's. Neither do the CBZ writers, are we all wrong and you right?:huh

Who are the several elite punchers that Willard (KO'd 3 X) faced in his 27 fight total ? 1) Dempsey KO by in 3 and how many times was Jess down

which hair on my ***** is grayer than the other, the one on the right nut or the left?

I can see where you are coming from here, but I think you are wrong.

Willard's chin was thought to be the best in the business before he fought Dempsey, and perhaps after.

Carnera was always known as somebody who didn't have one of the better chin's.

It wasn't bad, but he was getting dropped by people who were fair punchers, and shaken by people who were not punchers.

Are we talking about Stribling(low Blow KD) and Sharkey (great left hook) well he got up and he got up against Louis and Baer.

The only elite puncher Willard faced was Dempsey and out of a total of 27 fights 22-5-1 Willard was stopped 3 times, Primo had 102 fights and was stopped 5 times and he fought 2 elite punchers.

I dont mean to go against the grain I know how Primo is listed but I think his chin is underrated and Jess Willard may be over rated, like Primo, he was a big strong man 6"6 250-260 lbs but I dont see much of difference against elite punchers and Primo had over 3x the amount of fights. Jess could be better but he still falls into the lower bracket of chins a hair above or below Carnera with Patterson somewhere nearby and Ingo close as well

The big difference is that Willard was fat and washed up when Dempsey and Firpo met him and KO'd him,

while Carnera ran into Baer and Louis (and by the way, Haynes) while still young and at or near his prime,

So I would rate Willard a bit higher, but I think there is a valid case to be made that Willard's chin is a tad overrated and Carnera's underrated.

Carnera had a great heart. He was hard to move due to his size, and fought many smaller men. His chin in my opinion was not very good.

At no point have I described Moran,Smith or Morris as elite punchers.
If you have to put words in my mouth,[ a favourite ploy of yours,] to win an argument you have actually already lost it!
I wasn't aware you had nuts the fact that you cannot admit you are wrong suggests the absence of them.

Carnera probably fought more big men than just about anyone!

Larry Gains dropped him as well, and so did Luigi Musina, though Carnera was completely shot in the later case. When you study his fights in detail, he often gets shaken by his better opponents.

Again, I am not saying his chin was bad, but I don't see the case for it being in Willards category.

I think that Willard would have been simply sparked by the likes of Baer and Louis and I am glad that you dont think that Moran,Smith or Morris were elite punchers. I did not make a big deal of the fact that IMO Willard is untested in his 22-5-1 record you did and had to make another post.

The unfortunate thing about these forums is that worms like yourself can say things that would usually get them knocked off the bar stool. I can see why this is your life you are safe here. :goodGFYS

If you follow my posts I dont think I ever followed the grain of opinions. I have been wrong many times and right many times but just because the majority feels a certain way I am not afraid to give my opinion. In this case I only said I dont see a big difference between the 2 men and I still do not. In this case I still put the 28 fight Willard in the untested until Dempsey, his size may have helped him but not against JD (the only elite puncher he faced)

It is obvious that guys like Primo and Patterson and Ingo have been on the lower end of the boxing experts chins but after a close look I am not so sure Primo's chin was the only problem, after all he was 1st stopped after 83 fights (not bad for a shaky chin) He also had balance issues and was a big target and easy to nail like Willard.

As far knocking someone off a bar stool, I said you probably got knocked off a few with your disrespectful quips and with a pint or 2 in you, Oh Boy. Next time I pass through Britain it is to visit friends and have a pleasurable time. I would not waste valuable time looking for trouble because trouble is everywhere.

I see you are obsessed with me and stalk me. It is kind of sad that you waste so much negative energy and effort from that busy life of yours. Notice I never initiate any dialog with you.

    Are you often called a crack-pot :-(

Stalk you? What in my posts suggest that?
You have made some excellent posts on this forum and also some absolutely terrible ones.imo

Previously you implied I was a racist, which is a pretty ****ty thing to say when you don't have a shred of evidence to support it.

    Coming to the UK?
    Look Me up.
    You might be pleasantly surprised.
We might both fall off bar stools with pints in us.
