I was talking to a friend who trains out of Tony Ayala's gym
here in San Antonio, and he sounded sure that it was a go
underneath serg/macklin. I thought Lee and chavez jr was
being negotiated, but i heard it's kid choco and the big Mc.
    ?

No he's not. HBO apparently wanted to make that fight, but depending on who you believe, Quillin either turned down the fight over money or Lee and Steward simply didn't care for it. Lee decided not to take part in the card since he thought he could get Sturm. There's talk now that he might end up back on that card since he didn't get Sturm, but it would likely be an off-TV fight against someone easy if that's the case.

No, I read an article which was posted here earlier basically said he was fighting March (early March but not on Macklin-Martinez date, can't remember exactly), could be Quillin who knows that'd be great.

Lee's off the card. They got a new fight signed to co-headline.

I've read that Lee was pursuing Sturm and, recently, Chavez Jr.

Lee vs. Quillin would be dope.

Lee ended up calling off his fight with whoever and started to negotiate a fight with Sturm for his belt. Now that fight fell through and now it's back to the drawing board. I hope Lee ends up fighting Quillen.

    Nopes.

Lee left the card to get bigger fights ( Sturm ), But don't be sad, a great replacement fight has been found. Edwin Rodriguez-Don George in I believe an IBF Super Middleweight eliminator.
