Is Rampage in love with his standup?

    Has Rampage become more 1 dimensional as his got older. We dont see much of his fabled wrestling anymore. And he certainly prefers to keep the fight on its feet. Rarely do we ever see him go for takedown or work his Muay Thai in the clinch. Thoughts:think

    I'm sure he still has nightmares about the clinch after Wanderlei :lol:

    Also, I dont believe he was much of a wrestler in the first place...

    Who would want to make a concerted effort to wrestle/grapple with Hendo and Griffin, if they can outstrike them?

    Why would you try to take Chuck Liddell down if you can strike with him?

    He doesn't take it to the ground much lately, because it's either near impossible (Chuck) or it's a disadvantage (Hendo or Griffin).

    Put him in there against a pure striker with crap takedown defense, and Rampage would probably live on the mat for that fight.

    Styles make fights.
