Is Ray Arcel the Greatest Trainer Ever

    Definitely agreed


    Hes covered so many decades and eras in boxing its unbelievable. Hes the greatest imo

    For my money Futch is the greatest! Second is Billy Delaney.

    Steward is vastly overrated as a trainder. Futch a bit overrated . Roach is underrated just like the fighters of the last 30 years or so.

    Ray said it right when he said "if your guy can't fight you're just another bum in the park". AIn time a good trainer can help a decent fighter became good - or better and a bad trainer can make a good fighter become decent - or worse... But the fighter makes the trainer 75 percent of the time.

    But if you're a bad trainer then you aint gonna last long. Certainly not as long as Arcel, Brown, Futch, Dundee, Steward etc.

    Ray Arcel would be either one or two all time with Eddie Futch with Dunde 3.
