    Yeah, I don't think you can say that Ray Arcel didn't know his stuff. I think one of the problems with sports fans, have any support, is the need to choose the ultimate number one. No one can argue that Ray Arcel was not in the upper echelon.

    He spent a lot of time with Dempsey, I believe.
    I think he said he first saw him fight in 1916, against John Lester Johnson.
