Is Ricardo Mayorga Underrated?

    I don't think he is underrated. He is probably one of those fighters who is rated just about right by most sensible fans.

    lets not forget he destroyed andrew lewis in five rounds,lewis was a very good fighter.i dont think he is underrated.he is past his prime now

    to be fair... the mayorga forrest fought was a lot better then middlewight mayorga and the one that took illegal drugs so he could make weight against oscar...

    I would actually give forrest a decent shot at post spinks mayorga...

    Mayorga at his best IS underated... the problem is that above 147lbs, the things that truly make him dangerous, which is his stamina and underated speed (those haymakers wouldnt land if they were slow, and wouldnt have the same pop)

    Mayorga at his best gives just about anyone a good fight... and is a pure badass.

    A faded Mayorga well above his best weight beat the living snot out of a fat trash-talking Vargas who deserved every last shred of the pain he was made to feel. :deal Those haymakers did land, and clearly had some pop. And so did the nice short combinations that Mayorga surprised everybody (especially Fernando) with.

    very very true... that fight is the only fight as far as im concerned that anyone can really bash on mayorga for.

    He should have NEVER fought tito at middleweight, and was out of gas by round 5 (at 147 he can fight 12 easy) and i dont know ONE fighter in the WORLD who would beat tito after giving him free shots to his face lol... i cant even imagine any fighter doing that lol...

    mayorga is awsome.

    Mayorga is an unskilled brawler who can punch and take a punch. Yet he inexplicably still gets PPV paydays???

    Overrated as hell if ya ask me. Especially when you consider that he is 3-3 since 2003.

    He had two shots against A list fighters in Tito and Oscar and got beat up real bad, his only claim to fame is two wins over Forrest. Is Forrest A league?

    if thats ALL he was... he wouldnt be a three time world champion, he wouldnt have given spinks a good fight,

    There are THOUSANDS of fighters who are unskilled brawlers who can punch and take a punch.... Mayorga is special.

    Forrest, at the time mayorga beat him WAS A league...
    spinks is another A league fighter, and that was a close fight...

    The tito fight was a joke...

    and Oscar just straight up ****ed him up.... props to oscar.
