    @DF Taylor

Broner could be long gone come May. Broner is the star & it wouldn't surprise me if GBP turn to Ricky later on & say... "You had your chance"

He had a chance to be the ****ing man and launch himself into the big time. For whatever reason he passed up on that opportunity. He might get another one or he might not.... I just don't understand why you would take that risk

I wish I had something to sell you, I'd get top dollar

Im debating the offer that was "supposedly" made because thats the most pertinent part of this whole ****ing saga.....Morrison said that Burns wants 400K net Schaefer said it was too high...end of fight, end of ****ing debate. Even if Burns said that he wanted the fight in February it wouldn't happen because of the purse demands. Jesus, is it actually too hard for people to grasp?

    So that's it then?

Burns asks for 3/4 times more than his highest ever purse and that's acceptable if it means he never gets to fight Broner?

If & when Matchroom sit down to discuss Brook v Khan, I hope they ask for a 60-40 split and options on Amir.

When Khan turns round and says no.... We can all say. "end of fight, end of ****ing debate"

Absolutely not.....I just dont think that 400k net is that much to ask, its not about pricing yourself out of a situation, its maximising your value. I wonder how much Boner would be getting.

There is so much I want to say on this subject Doyle, but I am keeping my powder dry for now, until the full facts are known. Ricky's silence is deafening, Uncle Frank IMO still wants the Broner fight. Alex Morrison is the worst thing to ever happen to scottish boxing as hes clueless but eveyone in scottish boxing is scared of him cos he acts the gangster, is Rees REALLY fighting Broner instead?

The dust needs to settle a bit more on this mess before we can make our minds up. We need a quote from the man himself, Ricky Burns to clear things up one way or the other.

If that's £400k net in sterling, that's a ****ing lot. Especially if we are talking net net... I.E not just after tax, but after trainer & management fees etc.

Effectively Burns is asking for $1,000,000

I don't, and I never claimed he did....it was you acting Billy Big Bollocks with the "Broner doesn't even earn that" statement...I just want to know how you know.

He didn't actually say that did he? Besides, Billy has always said that he isn't and never has been party to negotiation, he leaves that to Morrison and ******....You might as well speak to the gym tea lady

I don't think Burns is the one who deserves criticism. The people to blame are his manager and promoter, who know that if Burns loses, they're ****ed. They won't put him into a big fight he can lose unless there's huge money on the table.

I'm confident that Burns would fight Broner tomorrow for a reasonable amount of money. The issue are all the other people who stand to lose if Broner wins.

    It's been shameful ducking, shameful.

Burns should hand the belt back imo, he's not worthy.

I do like Burns as a fighter, but his fans are starting to put me off (a la Pac) - How the **** is he a bigger draw than Broner? Why should Broner have to come to ****ing Scotland to fight him?

Burns is a good fighter, but it will be sad to see him fight overhyped domestic level guys in Scotland for the next 3 or 4 years before being thrown in against someone who has actually been fighting decent guys and hammered.

Broner is only getting better with each fight. Now is a better time to make it than in 2 or 3 years.
